Agree with niddler about starting in round 3, it should be basically no time limit per se.

Either have a list or be around to make a pick within 10 minutes or so from the time Dave IMs u or it time to draft is up.

Dave did say starting round 2 we'd have a time limit so I don't think we should wait around hours for guys. If they didn't send in a list, I'm not against giving them BPA. But I also wouldn't be at all against just skipping there pick and letting them jump in when they show up.

we're skipping dawg1t. he's had 2 hours. whenever he gets back he can post his next pick.

no list = no pick.

i told everyone that after round 1 we were starting a time limit. i also asked Dawg1t for his cell # and he didnt give it to me and said IM and PM were best ways to get him. he hasn't replied to my PM and it seems like he hasnt been on IM.

he's a big boy, he'll understand.

I approve of this decision...not that it matters.

a question has come up about whether positions are flexible. meaning... can a PF play C, etc. Ideally i'd like everyone to make it easy and pick a pg, sg, sf, pf, c.

obviously in game situations things will come up and SG will be forced to play SF and PF play C, etc. please don't make this an issue with playing guys like Lebron at C or Melo at PG.

also, tonight after about 8 pm the draft will be on hold in terms of me going out of my way to contact guys. i am going to mississippi for the weekend and will have my cell and laptop so i should be operating normally. if not shel or AJ or corey or a combination of all of you can help step in and move things along. i will have my cell on me at all times so if anything arises, just text me. only time i wont have my phone is between 10:30 and 1 am as i'm flying then.

I think the idea of positions are becoming obsolete in today's game.

I wouldn't mind each plays playing a position one spot up or down from his stated position.

But it just opens up possible future unnecessary problems as well.

I dont like skipping somone right now....just because 14 picks could go by in 10mins ...I understand youve made the call but I dont like it.. I want to draft my team as much as the next guy but the time between picks has been so random that I think its too much to penalize someone for not checking for a couple hours without ample warning.. Not trying to cause an issue..It doesnt effect me and Ill do whatever...These picks are crucial though..Be different in round 8-9


As far as positions go. I think since we are drafting all 12 anyway. Draft whoever whenever.. Dont have 5 Centers on your roster.. But for a guy like me I would hope to play Howard at some power forward too if I have another big man.. I understand the ease of just taking one posistion but that only evens it out till round 6 when all hell breaks loose, why wait.

Sending in a list alleviates that problem.

...i think you should just be like the vikings and you can pick whenever you get around to it after you got skipped, no dropping to the bottom of the round or something like that

you can don't have to draft your 5 starters first. you can pick 3 C's in a row for all i care. but i want you to have a pg, sg, sf, pf, c on your roster.

stuff like Dwight Howard at PF is a gray area. i dont see why we even have to have a conversation about it. why raise the issue. he's a C, play him at C. i can't recall Dwight Howard playing a second of PF in his career.

buckeye knows, he'll have his pick in 15 minutes he said.

also, Dawg1t isn't dropped to the end of the round, he can pick as soon as he sees this.
