GAINESVILLE, FL (WFLA) - The Gainesville Police Department has launched an internal investigation into the quashing of an arrest warrant for a former University of Florida football star and current NFL draft prospect.
The Gainesville Sun reports that Loucheiz Purifoy was allegedly caught by the Alachua County Sheriff's Office last month in possession of both marijuana and bath salts.

The newspaper reported that Purifoy was not arrested because he had agreed to cooperate as drug taskforce informant. An arrest warrant was issued after investigators said Purifoy did not fulfill his agreement to act as an informant. But that warrant was cancelled on Wednesday.
The Alachua County Sheriff requested the investigation of the Gainesville Police Department, saying the move to quash the warrant was "highly unusual."

Add the awesome Gainesville police department to some sketchy things for the sake of a football player

Ga tech had 117 people in attendance for their spring game. Library must have been crowded.

That many? That almost as many players that commit to Bama this weekendBFiVL wrote:Ga tech had 117 people in attendance for their spring game. Library must have been crowded.

Re: 2013 College Football Season
There was more than 117 there. I think that was a UGA report. However, it was poorly attended for several reasons (Rain, Easter, Apathy). I do think Paul Johnson is in serious trouble. He hasn't done much and any opponent that has enough time to prepare for that offense beats them. The 1-5 bowl record is an example.

Maybe they just found better shit to do in Atlanta than sit in the rain and watch a shitty team practice. Also, we're talking about a team that has a hard time filling a 55,000 seat stadium during actual games and hasn't been good in about 20 years.

I guess I can see why people go, but Id have zero desire to sit through a scrimmage. MSU is right down the road and Ive never been to one
Re: 2013 College Football Season
i was thinking the same thing. i dont understand why a spring practice attendance matters, on a religious weekend, in bad weather.Weasel wrote:I guess I can see why people go, but Id have zero desire to sit through a scrimmage. MSU is right down the road and Ive never been to one
Are we to assume because of this that GTech games will undersell? probably not.

Here it is basically just another excuse to tailgate. I haven't been to the actual game in about 15 years. I have gone down a few times and sat under a tent, drank, and enjoyed the barbecue and sundresses.Weasel wrote:I guess I can see why people go, but Id have zero desire to sit through a scrimmage. LSU pitched a no-hitter last night, beating Northwestern 27-0...in 6 innings
2 different players had 8 RBI.

Hey, we always have good kickers!!! i'm more worried about our offense's ability to score 27 points this coming season.autiger730 wrote:Nah, they missed a PAT.Wasted Memory wrote:shel311 wrote:LSU pitched a no-hitter last night, beating Northwestern 27-0...in 6 innings

I'm more worried about your ability to differentiated between football threads and baseball threads
