Your sarcasm meter must be a little low tonightCnasty wrote:No one said it was a dirty hitWhittness10 wrote:He probably just should have went after his knees at full speed. That would've been a way cleaner hit. And wouldn't be much of a problem for the guy being hit, you know, with him being a punter and all.....

NFL Penalties:trendon wrote:Every hit leads with the head. Clean hit.
Article 9: It is a foul if a player initiates unnecessary contact against a player who is in a defenseless
posture.
Entry (a) in Article 9: Players in a defenseless posture are:
Entry (6) in (a) of Article 9: (6) A kicker/punter during the kick or during the return;
Entry (b) in Article 9: Prohibited contact against a player who is in a defenseless posture is:
(1) Forcibly hitting the defenseless player’s head or neck area with the helmet, facemask, forearm, or
shoulder, regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the defenseless
player by encircling or grasping him; and
(2) Lowering the head and making forcible contact with the top/crown or forehead/”hairline” parts of
the helmet against any part of the defenseless player’s body
NFL Rulebook clearly shows this was a penalty.

I just saw Romo's two interceptions. I'm sorry, but I still don't blame him for this or most of anything the Cowboys don't do.

They went completely away from the run in the 2nd half of that game it seemed. (I didn't check out the play totals exactly)trendon wrote:I just saw Romo's two interceptions. I'm sorry, but I still don't blame him for this or most of anything the Cowboys don't do.

Yeah he's been great since week 2. I had him and Torrey vs Stafford tonight in Fantasy Football. My opponent had a 4pt lead. Tuckers 23 points was great. Stafford shitting the bed helped out too.LetsGoPeay wrote:61 yarder to take the lead with 38 seconds to go. That's clutch.
Clutch kick.....
Re: NFL Thread
Yeah, I saw that (was watching at work) and I don't recall seeing them run the ball once. Obviously, they did, but I didn't see it. It is crazy. Garrett is gone, for sure.buckeye76 wrote:They went completely away from the run in the 2nd half of that game it seemed. Re: NFL Thread
One of the last two INTs was a called run play that he audibled into a pass at the line. You can at least blame that one on him.buckeye76 wrote:They went completely away from the run in the 2nd half of that game it seemed. Peyton passes Brady's single season td record.
Brees is next to get passed in single season yardage.

Patriots loss and this pending loss will doom the season.
Going to go from the bye and 2 seed to going on the road in the playoffs, and that will do the Saints in.
Tough!!!

I don't know what to make of the Colts win today. On the one hand I've thought all season that KC was overrated. On the other I really want to think that the Colts are figuring things out and getting healthy at the same time. I don't know. Either way I expect a playoff loss right off the bat.

Re: NFL Thread
Von Miller, torn ACL.
Big loss for the Broncos.
Manning will need to throw 6TDs a game now.

Re: NFL Thread
Tomlin should have kneeled the ball twice and kicked an 18 year field goal as time expired.
Don't like that call.
