Something tells me you are closer to golfing in KY then we are in MA. We still have a foot of snow if not more on the ground here, brutal.

Nice! Scotty's are the best. I got so lucky. Was visiting my buddy that worked at FGCU and his new gf (at the time) had broken up with an old boyfriend. The bf had left a shit ton of clubs at her apartment (was in the PGM program) for like a year. She asked me if I wanted any (umm, yea), and I said I'd take the scotty that was there. Had to pay $19 to ship it home to myself, so all in all, a $19 scotty is welllll worth it

Hell yeah. The grip alone is worth more than $19.

Our snow just disappeared today. One of the crappy things about this area being in a river valley is that today it'll be 60, and tomorrow we could get a foot of snow. It'll be a few weeks at least, but if the weather stays this inconsistent I'll have to just hope for a weekend day that's nice.
I honestly would not be surprised one bit to see snow come Derby time. Last winter we had like this, we had snow days in May.

I wish it would warm up here also. It's only supposed to get up to 72 or so tomorrow. I'm actually hitting the links after work. Should be able to get 18 in.

If it's consistent, I'll gladly take it. The constant shifting of temps/air pressure is wreaking havoc on my allergies and my migraines

This is what I mean. I fucking hate it here, no wonder I get sick so easily in the winter
Forecast....
Tuesday: high in low to mid 70s
Wednesday 10 am: 58
Wednesday 11 am: 38 with wind chills below 20, and snowing
Thursday morning: wind chills below 0
This is the actual interesting part of the forecast. The temperature crash on Wednesday will be impressive. AdvanceTrak drops Louisville's temperature 17 degrees in an hour on Wednesday morning between 10 am and 11 am!!!
If I ever hear you guys in the warm states bitching ever again....

Heading to the range after work today. Put my clubs in the car this morning.
I have to take advantage of it when I can.

Have any of you guys tried this?
I am seriously thinking about getting this for home use. Spring, Summer and Fall evenings on the deck or in the driveway using my projector!
The OptiShot Infrared Golf Simulator
Their video shows it to be very accurate.
And there are tons of videos on youtube of guys using this thing.

I looked into simulators pretty in depth a while ago for my dad, there were a couple really good sites that broke each brand down with pros, cons and cost. When I get to a computer I'll see if I can hunt that info down

Played three rounds this weekend. I got progressively worse as the weekend went on. Golf and I have a love hate thing going on. My putter was on fire tho!
Question for you golfers out there on an App that a buddy had pitched to me.
As you all know, I fly unmanned airplanes in the Army. A buddy of mine, one of my Soldiers who just got out, pitched the idea of getting some quad-copters and mounting some GoPro's to them. We'd fly over the holes at a fixed elevation, say 100', and give you a run down of each hole. Where every trap is, elevation changes and what not for each hole.
Would you pay $10 for the app for your particular state? And then each additional state be $5.
Obviously this would start out as a local gig, maybe in Colorado Springs and Denver. But also looking at doing Indiana as well.

Already exists, it's called Mobitee. There are a few others out there as well
Fox had a drone that they were testing at the event I was at this weekend George. Didn't get to see much of the broadcast to know what they used though

I looked at those apps you guys posted but we were looking at being a little more into detail, elevation changes, distances to hazards, and where would be good spots to lay up for a better approach shot onto the green and where you want to be on the green for particular hole locations (would have to get with the golf pro at the course for the last two).

I'll be treating myself to a birthday/bonus treat this year getting myself some Vokey SM5 wedges, 52/56/60. I don't like to look of the gold ones, but am trying to decide between the chrome and raw black. I would think the raw black would get scuffed very quickly, so I'll probably be going with the chrome ones. Anyone have/see the raw black in action? Will they scuff up easy?
