I would happily accept a suggestion that's within reason, but if you're gonna be that sensitive over a comment you made in response to mine then I don't know what to say to you other than great post, Cshel311 wrote:BingoCnasty wrote:Choose to ridicule and disagree all you want, but thats what I would do and dont expect you to see anyone else's side since yours is always right.

I'll give you the Lakers but other than that:VeniVediV1ci wrote:The ones that win titles do.LetsGoPeay wrote:How many teams in the NBA start true centers anyway?VeniVediV1ci wrote: So you'd rather have two 4's on the court at the same time along with an overpriced shooter who disappears in the playoffs, Rondo and some bench player to re-energize the organization? Celtics- Kendrick Perkins
Spurs- Tim Duncan
Pistons- Ben Wallace or Rasheed Wallace
That's a bunch of power forwards masquerading as centers for NBA championship teams. Fact of the matter is that center is probably the most overrated position in basketball. Having a true center is a luxury but absolutely not a necessity.
Re: NBA Free Agency/Offseason Thread
salmons resigned for $8 million for 5 years. joe is better than salmons, but he's not $12 million better than salmons. salmons is who i would have wanted to target had johnson fell through, and at $20 million per, they might should have done it anyway.
HOWEVA...
i think a lot of the criticism of joe will be rectified with new coaching. woody was a poor offensive coach, and in the end, it would come down to throw it to joe and clear out. i think joe is a very good spot up shooter and pretty good with the ball. they treated him like he was the reverse. if he is allowed to move more without the ball, he'll be more efficient.
the hawks need a defensive big man to battle the bigger guys (HOWARD). horford is a great talent, but he just can't physically do the job against howard. i will say that woody again mismanaged the series against orlando. as big an advantage that howard had over horford in the post, they could have let horford pull howard out of the paint with his emerging jumpshot.
i'd really like to see a lineup like this:
C- needed defensive minded big man
PF- horford
SF- j. smith
SG- JJ
PG- teague
put marvin on the bench with jamal, and you've got some firepower off the pine. the issue will be smith as the 3, but he's been a tweener his whole career. the thing is, this starting 5 doesn't mean that's who's always on the floor together. it didn't last year. jamal was always in there as a 2 with joe at the 3. horford needs more touches, and they've got to get creative with smith.

i honestly think the new coach will do some things with marvin and we'll see him blossom.

Re: NBA Free Agency/Offseason Thread
I hate the Hornets front office sooooo much!!!
If this is true and they were gonna trade paul for THOSE guys, then i think Paul must really be pushing for a trade.
It's amazing how Shinn(Hornets owner) is so terrible. He's such a cheap ass, and is basically running a bare bones type of deal when it comes to behind the scenes stuff in New Orleans.
The sale can't go through quick enough.
Chad Ford, ESPN Insider: The Blazers got close to a deal with the Hornets last week that would've sent Andre Miller, Joel Przybilla, Nicolas Batum, Jerryd Bayless and the 22nd pick to NO for Paul before Jeff Bower pulled out of the deal saying that their owner wasn't ready to trade Paul. The trade they made on draft night got them out of the luxury tax, so that's no longer the issue. The issue is whether Paul is no unhappy enough to force a trade. Personally I think the Hornets can do better than that for Paul, but it's a viable deal.

Why New Orleans even has a team is a weird thing to me and if they get rid of Paul, they may not have a franchise anymore.

Re: NBA Free Agency/Offseason Thread
I think the Heat are in serious trouble now. I'm not sure why Wade would meet with Chicago a second time if the Heat were in good/great shape with a guy like Lebron, Bosh, or Stoudemire. I'd like to see Wade go to Chicago if the Heat aren't going to get Lebron or Bosh with Wade.

Riccio's season tickets went from looking like the best tickets in sports to worthless if you listen to the rumors today, lol.Cnasty wrote:Man this sucks bad being a Heat fan.
All I know is Lebron and Wade both in Chicago is literally one of the better starting lineups I've ever seen.
All the rumors, and tweets and nonsence, it's getting nutty.
I also think it is interesting to note that the media slammed Lebron before FA started, saying he'd make this all about him and blah blah blah. And yet, Lebron has been completely silent about this entire ordeal. Meanwhile, Wade and Bosh are tweeting, taking pics together, talking to the media. Now, there's absolutely nothing wrong with them doing so, but I just think it's funny that Lebron is doing the exact opposite of what the haters said he'd do.

Rethinking this, lol. While I still think it's a legendary lineup that would rack up titles, they'd have serious problems with outside shooting.shel311 wrote:All I know is Lebron and Wade both in Chicago is literally one of the better starting lineups I've ever seen.
But anyway, I'm getting into this wayyyyyy too much at this point.

Re: NBA Free Agency/Offseason Thread
As a bulls fan, I wonder sometimes honestly... if this is all a charade. Unless chitown made an amazing pitch to Wade, I just didn't see how that rumor would develop. Honestly, I don't think there's enough ball to go around for an 82 game season between lebron, wade and rose. That would take some serious chemistry. If they got it to mesh, hell ya, 6 titles easy, but would it mesh is what i'm asking...
I'd prefer it be Lebron/Wade and bosh, because we need some form of scoring in the post. Maybe thibs can coach bosh to some defense to make it worthwhile.
I will admit, Wade/lebron duo would be retarded fun on the next NBA game. Lol. I'd probably never get to play anyone online as a bulls fan... Cept laker and magic/celt fans...
