So...what do we do? I was pretty much open the last 2 days. He was only open at midnight last nite and tomorrow. Tomorrow is father's day and being I have 2 kids will probably not get on. So...how do we handle this??

Ya...about that. He has only been able to play at midnight last night and maybe tomorrow which just so happens to be father's day. Why would I want to leave this up to the sim gods?? It is obvious he doesn't want to play me...I have been open...he hasnt.

It does seem quite convenient for him that his only open time is one night at Midnight and Fathers Day... So, about that trip to Uganda for the soccer match....

No, it's not obvious, or I wouldn't be making myself available. I'm pretty sure I've been open and honest about if I'm gonna play you or not in the past. I said I'm free anytime tomorrow, 10am to 1am. I know it's father's day, I have no plans. I'm sure you do. That's why I made myself available all day long.

And if anybody doubts I'm busy today, then feel free to follow me on Twitter today as I help run things for the entire league's account @usl. I'm picking something up right now and then will be at the stadium in 45 min for a podcast. I won't be home tonight until after 11pm est. If you can play when I get home, we can play then.

Thought I had a decision made, but the more I think about it the more difficult this becomes. I guess here's my finally thoughts on it.

With user games I grant an extra 24 hours to play, so you technically have through Sunday to play. Jason, you weren't available Thursday and Friday, Ran you weren't available - based on your post - Saturday and you're saying you're unavailable Sunday.

I'm leaving the OD unadvanced until Monday morning. If you guys cannot work out a time to play tomorrow then it will be simmed. I think Jason should have been more accommodating on his schedule, Ran I think you should have messaged him instead of me when you saw him on FIFA today.

You two feel free to work out whether one of you will go on AP, both of you play it, or have it simmed.

Actually, I posted here before I messaged u. And actually, he was not open the last 3 days...just tomorrow. He said he was home for 45 minutes before heading out. So he wasn't open today either.

I understand your point of view Ran, I also see Jason's point of view too.

The most frustrating thing about this whole situation, to me, is that I'm even being put in this spot. I shouldn't have to make this decision for anyone. Users should be able to discuss among themselves what they are going to do and then follow through with that. I shouldn't have to feel the need to ask others in or outside of our OD for their opinion but that's exactly what ended up happening in this circumstance. To be perfectly honest, I felt childish for even having to do that.

This is nothing more than an OD for us to play for our enjoyment. As the commish of it, in my opinion, my job is to advance the weeks. If someone is being blatantly stupid I'll step in at that point.

The rest is on you guys. In my eyes as well as others, both of you made an attempt by posting your availability for the initial 3 days and for Jason the 24 hour extended day, Sunday.

In regards to your last post, I see his quote about going AP and I agree with what you're saying. But you leave out the fact that I posted early Friday afternoon that I would hold the advance off until Monday if you guys could play tomorrow. Had you posted on there at that time you couldn't play Sunday then I could justify putting him on AP right now. I don't see anywhere that you said that until today after this whole argument came up. Jason even put in his initial post that he was free all day Sunday. I'm not trying to take his side, to be perfectly honest I'd love to put him on AP. But I have to take a impartial stance.

If others in the OD want to step in and point out, fairly, that I'm not being impartial here I will gladly reconsider. If someone can point out that Jason is completely at fault here I'll switch him now.

You're right Wasted, it is on us to get games played. You set a date to advance. If the game isn't played, advance anyways. That's on us to get it done. You're very flexible when it comes to user games when you could really stick to a schedule and do what you want. I know in the past I've lost track of time and an advance came up and my game has been simmed, and I lost the game. That's on me for missing my game. Granted, this is a different situation with it being a user game, but there are more people involved in this than just Jason and Ran. Holding things up effects everyone. Remember that post you made Ran about not wanting to wait on people??

Im willing to wait on the advance, cause now I REALLY want them to play. Its unfinished business, kinda like Shamrock and Kimbo!

I really want them to play too so I can hear Jason complain about how cheesy Ran is. I also don't want to wait for the 4th of July to play another game.

I did no directly contact him because back in the day when we attempted to play each other we would go weeks without him posting on the forums. So from time to time I would see him on AIM and shoot him a message telling him I was home for the nite and rdy to play. After several weeks of no responses from him via message boards or AIM, he finally AIMd me back and told me to leave him alone. He said if I ever want to contact him leave it on the boards and he would respond when he was rdy. That is the reason I did not PSN or AIM him and only posted on the board.

To me, he made himself available from about 12a til about 12p last nite/this morning. I was open pretty much all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (3 days). I did say I was busy on Saturday but that didn't matter because he stated he had something going on as well. Now...he is open Sunday only (the extra day) but I can't proMize I can play cuz it is father's day and I do have kids that I want to spend it with. So to sim it because he was only open during the middle of the nite last nite and the extended day vs me being open the first 3 days doesn't seem fair to me. He ha's made it obvious he didn't know if he even wanted to play me when this week opened. AND he said put him on AP if his 12a time didn't work for me...which I stated it didnt.

Whit, this wasn't some cpu game that I got tied up and couldn't play. This is a user game that he has been "busy" and only open after midnight. So, to pull that statement out doesn't match this situation. Good try, though.

I'm just seeing the situation from both sides here. But if you want to get all butt-hurt over an OD game, be my guest. Makes things entertaining. I've been on your side throughout all of these "busy" times that Jason always has when you're supposed to play. And yes my statement does match the situation, a loss is a loss, doesn't matter if it's in a user game, CPU game, or simmed game. Best of luck to you Ran. Happy Fathers Day!!!

I have church tomorrow then most likely going out for lunch. I could probably be back and rdy to play around 2 or 3p (central). If we need a hard confirm time, I could easily commit to 4p central.

IF, they give us Monday, then should be open from 9:30a til 1p, then again from after 8:30p.

You name the time Sunday, you name the EXACT time. He has said he can play at any time. If he's a no show I will set him to AP.
