But the narrative is that they schedule 2 FCS teams 1 FCS team as well, that is why Bama gets the scrutiny that they do

Meh

40-16, gave up a TD with :11 left in the game

52-17, gave up a TD when starters likely are out, then another TD with :05 left in the game

A&M scored 28, but they have a solid offense, minus the LSU game.

Which is so dumb.

Bama has the same % chance of losing that game then, say, Ohio St does of losing to Miami OH...0%.

Those backups would be stars on 10 teams in the SEC alone most likely. This Bama team was nowhere close to being the team we were used to. Injuries at QB hurt a lot but their defense did not look good in the games I watched.

Bama's D not being as good as it usually is does not mean Bama's D is not good.

There shouldn't be an FCS team on a top teams schedule unless it was a last minute scheduling.

So you think they have a good defense?

Like Duke this year?
2-10 Louisville last year?
You realize they schedule these games like 6-10 years out don’t you? They also have played USC and Florida St, how many teams go and do that? Wisconsin and Baylor are the two teams that schedule the most cupcake schedules and have forever. Of course I hate the FCS team but if they play 8 conference games and schedule 1 legit non-conference that is enough and more than most teams do.

Neither team is a "marquee" team as you stated.

Hell since they open with USC I guess it's okay for them to schedule Georgia State and UT- Martin? GTFOH, that is not a good schedule, even if USC finishes with 1 loss

If you take away their FCS team would they still be too 20? I'm not looking at the stats, just a question

Georgia Southern and Tenn-Martin. Did you miss the part a top 50 team should never have them on their schedule

They aren't too 50 team and I still wouldn't want an FCS team or a sun belt team on the schedule.

Would we also take away the worst team each team has played?

Either way, I'm pretty confident the answer would be yes they're still top 20 if you took that game away.

Bama had i believe a top 10-15 toughest schedule in the nation this year, fwiw.

Because they're stupid!

But hate to admit, you're right. Florida is another really good D that didn't slow down Burrow.
