Idiot just ran on the field in the Colombia v Chile game... they showed the chase and tackle live. Solid angle of pursuit after the ball carrier broke away.

They usually don't show it. Guy ran on the other night in the Argentina match to try and get a pic with messi. They didn't show it

Shaqiri with a stunning overhead to level it 1-1 with Poland and send it to extras... Great matchups in the knockout rounds here in the Euros

Can see his career stalling in the Prem and ending up like Giovinco which isn't necessarily the end of the world imo

Re: Soccer discussion thread
He's a lot stronger than Giovinco though.
Poland surely wishes they had the really early chance back. Such a terrible miss from Milik.

Re: Soccer discussion thread
Stronger yes but I'd argue Giovinco is faster and had slightly better results in Europe before making the switch... Any who still excellent watching so far in the Euros
Re: Soccer discussion thread
the announcers and the analysts are all just shitting on this Portugal vs. Croatia game. beyond a crap game.
Re: Soccer discussion thread
Messi, wow.
was amazing to watch. can't imagine the pain he's going thru, he looked like a zombie post match. now he's saying he might not play for Argentina any longer.

Re: Soccer discussion thread
How can the birthplace of soccer, a country that has the richest league in the world, not be able to produce a keeper better than Joe Hart?

Re: Soccer discussion thread
With as poor as England have played thus far in the tournament, I'm shocked they haven't considered a formation change. Especially now with Iceland sitting deep to defend the lead a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 would be worth a dice throw imo. Also shocking the faith in Sterling and Rooney, and even to a lesser extent Sturridge
Re: Soccer discussion thread
Harry Kane was brutal today as well.

Re: Soccer discussion thread
I have a soft spot for England. My first world cup game I remember watching vividly was England being led by Michael Owen, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Beckham, and Steven Gerrard. I forget who they beat (Argentina I think) and I was hooked by their passionate fans and players.
What is amazing that when I watch them play in this tournament and as of late, around the 18 yard box they just all try to smash in 25 yard shots. When I watch Spain, Italy, Germany play they all use creativity to get their opponents open. I root super hard for England and they let me down every fucking time.

Pelle doesn't score much, but when he does, it's a terrific volley
Watching Gigi and DDG go back and forth with ridiculous saves.....the two best keepers in the world right now.
