Ryan Anderson to the Hornets for Gustavo Ayon.

means a few things:

- Kaman, Landry and Belinelli done in New Orleans (as per Hollinger)
- Orlando pretty much tipping their hand that they aren't going to be with Howard much longer, if they thought they'd have him (even for a year) they'd keep Anderson.
- New Orleans has a few respectable pieces.

"@johnhollinger: With no Okafor trade, Wizards could have had Anderson. But I guess they can't use cap space to compete with glamour markets like New Orleans"

scoring wise, look at it as swapping horford and random sg for johnson in that horford wasn't in uniform most of the year. i think they can be competitive, but definitely not contenders. the best case scenario is howard stays where he is and plays out his contract. we'd definitely have a shot at him in free agency and then have money to go after others. i worry about us giving up too much for howard in a trade. when you hear teague/horford for howard, what does that leave us? smith/howard and who else?

as for j-j-j-j-joe johnson, i hate to see him go, but it was a necessary thing to do. can't believe the nets took that contract.

as for marvin, he was in a hole to start with here due to the mess when he was drafted, but i can't figure out what was holding him back. i think he'll go elsewhere and raise his game to a new level. he has the talent.

Word is the Cavs are the ones willing to take on Humphries.

If all the 1st rounders are coming from NJ, it will be a bunch of picks in the 20s, which really isn't worth all that much.

still valuable... and its Brooklyn.

many GMs covet late first round picks since you have the player cost controlled for very little.
