Billy is going to love this one. He may not chime in like he would have when he wasn't the commish.


But yes, I think we would be better off with people that are more active on the boards

We would but there's no guarantee the next new guy will be active.

When was the last new guy we got that is truly active on the boards?

I could care less about being active on the board but how about fielding competitive teams. There newer guys are not to active on boards but they've improved their teams and I appreciate their effort.

I think both are equally important for a healthy league.

As we get more and more new outsiders, if we end up with just 5-7 active guys on the board, and a bunch of quiet dudes who work hard to improve their teams, the league is still in trouble IMO.

I don't take offense. I commend Hank for looking out for the league. He just wants what is best for the NDL.

The top 2 teams, yes, they deserve to be there. I like Kelly and Kendall and Chicago has put together some high 80 win seasons, even a 90 and 91 once, but he is never around at all on the boards.
Kendall hasn't been to the playoffs since the 2010 season, 46 seasons ago!

For us, Nashville, yes, it has been 12 seasons since we have been to the playoffs.
After being the commissioner, when Corey took over, I hit a spell where I really didn't care anymore.
But like 2 seasons ago, I told Billy and he knows, I am extremely active now and will continue to be going forward.
We will be back to winning again. Our minors are looking way better since just 1 season ago.

If Kelley or Kendall are willing to step away, we do have 1 guy that is interested in joining us right now, but this is up to Billy to have those conversations with them and find out.

And while I agree with Ry that posting on the boards is not a big deal, as long as they are active for trade talks, etc. is really what matters more.

And I know Billy does a great job staying on guys to verify they are active at least with exporting.

George is right. I would have been licking my chops for this one a few seasons ago lol.

I stay on guys and hit them up when they fall behind and there are a few I would say are on thinner ice but for he most part the league is pretty healthy as far as exporting and keeping up goes.

Would love for guys to embrace the boards more but if we made that a criteria to stay we’d be in an 8 team league

Correct me if I'm wrong but CHC and CHA have fifty plus million in cash. Neither has signed a free agent..

CHA is still on a game date of November.

Kendall wrote me and said he is starting a new job and still around and will active. There is no denying he is not good at the game but he is in touch with me and did try to trade for Tavares with me. We can see how this season goes and reassess
