YESSSSSSS. Been a long time since there's been a win that big for OSU. Got the SEC monkey off the back a little bit. Realllly don't like the thought of Oregon, but you never know

Re: College Football 2014
Great game, but terrible last possessions for both teams.

Will be a very tough game against Oregon.
Great season by Alabama.
As Meyer said post game, we are doing this with our 3rd string QB, the future is bright for OSU.

There's really no way to stop Oregon... just gotta hope to contain them a little, and put up plenty of points!The_Niddler wrote:Will be a very tough game against Oregon.

ESPN is desperately trying to figure out how to put a pro-SEC spin on this.

I am pretty freaking happy right now!!! I'm personally shocked at the rushing yards they got against Bama. Big win for the conference. Now I have to wait till the 12th???

Re: College Football 2014
Was trying to see conference bowl records and ran across this from CBS Sports.
B1G was expected to go 0-10 in the bowls.
*edited: they used the point spread as the expected win/loss

Re: College Football 2014
FSU barely beat a 7-5 Notre Dame team that lost to Northwestern.
FSU barely beat a 6-6 Miami team
FSU had to rally from 17 down to beat a 7-5 NC State team
FSU had to rally from 21 down to beat Louisville (and wouldn't have if the safety who picked off Winston right after halftime doesn't fumble it on the return)
FSU barely beat an Oklahoma State team that went 6-6
FSU barely beat a Florida team that went 6-6 and was a joke most of the year (keep in mind they barely beat US, in the Swamp!)
FSU barely beat a 7-5 Boston College team
Did they win all the games? Yeah, they did. But they rarely showed me that they were one of the four best teams in the nation. There were many who get paid to talk about such things who felt that, had FSU not won the title last season, they would have been left out for TCU.
Meanwhile, TCU lost once on a ridiculous implosion to a team that ended up ranked in the top 6 when it was all said and done; they housed most of the teams they faced (whereas FSU really only had three games where they won without problems); and beat that same Oklahoma State team (which FSU beat by six points) by a score of 42-9. So you'll have to excuse me if I was never impressed with FSU's body of work.

We should've all seen this coming:
The very first NCAA basketball championship game ..... Oregon beat Ohio State

There is no way TCU with 1 loss gets in over FSU with no losses.
I understand your argument how FSU barely won, but the fact is they won.
I have never been impressed with FSU either and personally, I like the fact that they lost, even though OSU matches up much better against them then Oregon, but your argument doesn't make sense to me.
Being honest, if TCU got in, it would have been Ohio State out, not FSU.
I think that is what we are all struggling with in your argument.

TCU wouldn't have gotten in at all. Baylor jumped them.The_Niddler wrote:jsence2 wrote:FSU barely beat a 7-5 Notre Dame team that lost to Northwestern.

Michigan State finished 11-2, with the two losses being to Oregon and Ohio State. Makes me feel better.

I'm thinking back to the "Give Saban a month to prepare debate we had a while back."
Feeling good about my position on that one this morning
