Texas doing work in the state of Florida pulling in some of the top (available) recruits.
Shel Notes -
Spoiler!
Four members of the group are considered among the top 50 players in Florida this year. By comparison, Texas has pledges from seven players in the top 50 of Texas. The Longhorns’ recruiting class suddenly looks a lot better with 11 top 50 players from Texas and Florida combined.
Commited:
S, Tim Irvin, Miami Westminster Christian - son of former Miami standout of same name; nephew of Michael Irvin
CB, Davante Davis, Miami Washington - long, tall cornerback who chose Texas over Florida State among dozens of others
LB, Cecil Cherry, Lakeland Victory Christian - MVP of Florida state championship game; good friends with Chris Nelson, a freshman DT at Texas
TE, Devonaire Clarington, Miami Washington - a two-way standout; picked Texas over LSU, Miami and others
And the fifth Florida player, wide receiver Gilbert Johnson, is expected to verbally commit to Texas soon. He originally signed with Georgia.

Had a couple chances to beat them but they were just too good. Anyway he unloaded in his pants mid 3rd quarter. When the game was over he sprinted to me and asked if he could go to the locker before shaking hands. I caught a whiff and immediately sent him in. Head coach went ballistic on me without asking what happened first. Got to the locker room and his stuff smelled so bad, ugh it was the worst...
Vince Marrow turned down offer from Michigan/Harbaugh to stay at UK. Huge for us, the guy is a former NFL player from Youngstown and is one of the best Ohio recruiters in the nation (has pulled in over 20 commitments in last 3 years, half of which have been 4* or better). May single-handedly be the biggest reason for our great classes the past few years and might swing Damien Harris back to us.
Also shows that Michigan knows the need to start getting kids from Ohio again
S14: N Texas 7-1
S15: Wake 8-5
S16-21: Washington 9-4, 10-3, 8-5, 9-4, 7-6, 6-7
S22: Ohio 8-5
S23: ECU 12-2
S24-26: Kentucky 8-5, 5-7, 5-7
Career: 102-61
WTF are you talking about? Over the past 10 years the most UK has done in football is win 8 games and that was two shitty bowl games? I'm really not trying to be a jerk, and I would have loved to have 8 win seasons in Pullman over that same span, but 5-7, 2-10 and 2-10 over the last 3 seasons are great recruiting classes? If I was Michigan I would stay the fuck away from Ohio because they are making Kentucky Shitty!

No, but listening to jsence talk about the Ohio recruits and Kentucky success just doesn't add up. I love your passion for Kentucky and all things related to it, but you have a warped reality of your football team. Just stick with basketball, they will make you happy...

We only hired Stoops two years ago. He pulled a top 35 recruiting class with less than three weeks to work; last year he pulled the 17th ranked class in the nation (many of whom redshirted this season), including the top DT in the nation. And this year our class is ranked top 30 with a few major recruits (mainly the top HB in the nation, Damien Harris) still in play for UK. Yeah, we sucked the two years before--thanks to the fact that Joker Phillips wanted to go get 3* players and we had to get his players pushed out. And that 5-7 could've easily been 7-5, which is quite a turnaround from back-to-back 2-10 seasons.

Keeping coach who does very well in Ohio >>> Not getting talent from Ohio
Ohio is arguably 4th most talented state behind FL/TX/CA when it comes to recruiting.

All that stuff I was telling Peay about managing expectations, screw that!!!
"@Schultz_Report: Still hearing Braxton Miller likely headed toward LSU or Oregon, but doesn't want to be distraction during championship week, staying quiet."
at the height of the media storm i was fully behind him moving on but with more thought...(and greed)...i'd love to see him take another year "to mature" in college
over/under on chances he could go a whole year without any controversy?? 88.4% chance he cant
i say he can!!
if we gon' do it den, we do it big
just realized that applied to how to lose a football game as well

A little bit?
He threw 29 TD passes. If I put Anthony Jennings against no defense, like on NCAA ps4 practice mode, it would still take him about 20 games to reach that mark.
