I thought comp picks had to be on your roster all year.wdoupis wrote:I traded him last offseason but I do hope Kdog gets his comp pickGeorgesGoons wrote:I agree, but people love that draft pick for some reason.wdoupis wrote:If you have a shot at the playoffs and you won’t lose a comp pick for Blackwell then you are lostGeorgesGoons wrote:People don't want to lose the comp pick.wdoupis wrote:Another sim and Blackwell still unsigned. And I love the desperation of Billy here trying to get that Comp Pick. If it bothers you that much you should have resigned him

Which players are eligible for the qualifying offer?
Only those who …
A. Have never received a qualifying offer previously in their career, and
B. Have spent the entire season on that team's roster (so in-season acquisitions are ineligible)
If this is about Blackwell he was def. on my roster all season lol.shel311 wrote:If he traded him last offseason, then he was on the roster the entire season.

After updating, if you are getting a message that no new file exists, did you try deleting your time.cfg file?
1. Close your OOTP game.
2. Navigate to your saved_game folder (NDL.lg)
3. Go into that folder.
4. Now find the Settings folder.
5. Delete the "online_league_file_time.cfg" file.
6. Now re-open OOTP.
7. Now try to download the file from the server again.
This forces the game to ignore what date you have and download whatever is currently on the server.
....this makes sense. Not sure where I fall in terms of solutions, but that's definitely the feeling I have as well. I'd flip my 2nd through n round picks for a ML ready player right now.TheGobOne wrote:I think one of the reasons people don't want to lose their first round pick is a perceived lack of depth in the drafts. Last year I lost a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round pick and I didn't even care. IMO the first round is really the only way to get a guaranteed MLB player (I know this isn't the case, but that's the perception and majority).
This is also the reason why guys want to offer comp so much; to get that first rounder. Hell, some years there are as many as 40 picks in the first round making the 2nd round really start 10 guys too late and pushing the whole draft back a whole round by the time round 4 or 5 comes around. This only adds to the problem above.
The only solution is getting rid of comp picks OR making the draft deeper. I don't think making the draft deeper is the answer. Just my thoughts.

Not without going in later and editing it manually.Uuaww wrote:is their a way to do comp without losing a first? like they still get the comp but no one loses anything?
