Sick of this mother effer.....when does shit like this end?
So much for harmony over what's left of the season. [Dwight Howard] does not want to play for head coach Stan Van Gundy any longer. According to [a Tuesday report] sources, Howard is still upset with Van Gundy confirming [David Pingalore's] report from earlier this month that Howard went to Magic management asking for Van Gundy to be fired. On Friday, the Magic had their physical therapist Ed Manalo travel with Howard to Los Angeles, where Howard went to have his back diagnosed. ... Howard would also likely sit out the postseason, according to the source. Van Gundy said this prior to Monday night's game with Philadelphia: "Our approach is this is our team, the 13 guys that we have without Hedo and Dwight."

I wonder if they regret not trying to get Bynum + Something for Howard?

Bynum may be a bit of a head case, but he's been very good when Kobe hasn't played and he could have been a huge force in the East. Nearly identical PER at this point, and what kind of value does Howard have now that his hand has been played?

i think this is all a master plan by Howard/Nets to lower the Magic's leverage so the Nets don't have to give up a ton for him and Howard gets to land where he wants to be and gets to land on a team with some talent around him.

i would have taken Bynum for him in a heartbeat. Bynum is excellent and still getting better.

there aren't many 7 footers without knee problems... shit there aren't many true 7 footers, nevermind ones with the talent and hands that Bynum has. I'd have much rather got Bynum back + some scraps than some combo of Brook Lopez and MarShon Brooks.

he's a top 15 player in the league, imo, and hasn't even scratched the surface of what he could be if given a chance to be a focus of an offense.

i'm not even so sure that we won't be saying he's as good as Howard come next season or the year after.

He's the 2nd best center in the league, and probably IMO,t he best offensive center in the league.

He's young, averaging something like 16 and 12.

Just out of curiousity, what better deals or more could they have gotten? I didn't hear of any non-Bynum deals that were remotely as good, IMO.

19 and 12 this year, and in the last 5 without Kobe, 22 and 14. 12th best PER in the league this season (Howard is 6th).

Just going by boxscores, I think Bynum has been getting all the shots.

I don't ever recall the clippers offering Griffin.

what are they supposed to say

also, I am confident there was a week or two window when they could have got Bynum and gasol for howard, turk and someone else. Of course Otis smith missed it, and then the lakers started playing well

yikes Artest.

he's in for a pretty bad suspension and hours of being analyzed/ridiculed/crushed by the media.

also... Ibaka is a monster.

they were saying at the halftime they'd expect him to miss a playoff game.

i'm with you, i'd be shocked if he's not out AT LEAST the first round, probably the rest of the year.
