Hell, I didn't even think of this last night, but there's a ton of media talk today talking about how the KD news from last night drastically increases AD's trade value. It's basically just 1 less big time free agent, the biggest of them all, so 1 less option for teams to upgrade this offseason.

Not sure how much I buy it, but plenty of folks saying this helped the Pels.

imagine being Kerr/Myers today knowing Durant was always hurt and you just potentially ruined the kids career. I mean, he was practicing in secret yesterday at the upstairs practice arena at Scotiabank.. definitely someone who's not 100%.

https://twitter.com/SportsCenter/status ... 4272387072 he was dancing pretty good pregame tho. Maybe he just has naturally weak ankles.

I’m pretty vocal about my dislike of KD and his contant whining about the media as well as going to the Warriors but this just fucking sucks. Right in his prime as he was about to make whatever move he had been dreaming about. Hate to see it, hopefully he can make a big time comeback

He doesn't need to be 100%. Kawhi's nowhere near 100% this postseason.

If a physician cleared him to play and there was no funny business with the physician's decision, and KD decided to play, then that's it. He's a grown man, and he made the decision.

Unless stuff was hidden from him, which is a HUGE accusation, I don't think this falls on Bob Meyers.

But how do you know what was told to him and that they didnt explain the risks of even a calf escalating to an achilles?

The fact is we do not know what details were given by GSW's team to KD for him to make an informed decision on playing or not.

If KD comes out and says he was advised of all the risks as best as the GSW staff could do and he determined to proceed, what fault is that on GSW??

People play hurt tho. None of this is on medical and 100% on KD. Remmeber like you guys said, Kawhi is currently playing hurt. So why did medical clear him? If he tears his quad is it medicals fault? Nah. It would be Kawhi's fault for playing. Its Durants fault for this.

Durant was DANCING pregame

KD is to blame for playing on it
Myers/Kerr is to blame for playing him

What made KD so diff than Klay who he had to sit or he wouldnt be able to sleep at night?

This is a case of the GSW team being a bunch of fuckboys and thinking KD was being selfish. They questoned him allll series when he was hurt and now hes doneso and theyre heartbroken. Fuck outta here.

If physicians aren't to blame, that means they cleared him to play.

If they cleared him to play, why do we need to blame anyone?

These 2 can't be mutually exclusive.

If KD was given the appropriate risks, injury information, and acknowledged and agreed to play why would Kerr NOT play him???

So why didnt Kerr play Klay when Klay said he could go?

Because the medical staff advised against it and told him to sit in which Kerr did not play him.

Did KD go against the medical staff's advice and play? Did I miss something?

Was he cleared to play?

medical staff most definitely cleared klay to play in game 3 based on Kerr's quote.

kerr couldn't live with himself if klay played and got hurt and missed the rest of the series.

sounds like he can either override medical staff decisions, or they cleared him and kerr chose not to play him.
