This is a unique situation, it can't be compared to any other. It happened a few years ago with TT/OU/UT, but again, TT's resume simply didn't stack up to the other 2, so they were left out. In this instance, LSU will likely have the best computer score, so it's never happened before, so there is no where to turn to see how it played out before.
Has any team ever gone from ranked 7th to 2nd in the polls when I believe #2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 didn't lose before LSU did in 2007? No, but it happened.
TT;s resume didn't stack up??
They finished ABOVE Texas. Hence why OU got in over Texas.
It's the same situation here, I don't get why this is so hard for you to get lol
You truly have no idea what you're talking about. It's NOT the same situation.
Texas Tech finished the regular season ranked ahead of Texas? Really?
It's the same situation here? Really?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BCS_controversies
In the Big 12 South division, there was a three-way tie for the division champion between Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas Tech (all one-loss teams). The winner of that division would likely play in the national championship game if it beat Missouri in the Big 12 Championship Game. Oklahoma lost to Texas 45-35, then Texas lost to Texas Tech 39-33, and then Texas Tech lost to Oklahoma 65-21. In the Big 12, the BCS standings were used to break this tie, causing the teams to jockey for votes in the human polls. In the end, Oklahoma edged out Texas for the right to represent the Big 12 South in the conference championship game. Despite the head to head loss to the Longhorns earlier in the season,
the computer rankings ranked the Sooners' schedule ahead of the Longhorns. Another BCS conference, the SEC, merely uses the BCS standings to eliminate one team in a three-way tie and then use head to head to determine tiebreakers, which would have worked in Texas' favor.[30]
This is the part where you admit you are wrong and I am right.
Suck it Trebek.

Wanna clarify your argument again and make sure it's still the same. You are still of the opinion lsu is good with a loss vs ark correct? You are basing all of this on the CPU polls not helping out enough? What about human polls? Where would lsu fall in those?
I just looked at the 2007 bcs stuff. Lsu benefited from sec title gm greatly that year and really wasn't that shocking since everyone head of them had 2 losses as well minus kansas. Almost all of those teams were sitting at home or playing no one worth a spit while lsu beat a top 15 team

Don't get all pissy because you acted like you knew what you was talking about, then got proved wrong. Suck it up.

shel311 wrote:I never said Arkansas won't go up or LSU won't go down in the human polls. I never said that, that can and probably will happen. I am saying the computer polls will be more than enough to get LSu back into the top 2 and leave Arkansas out.
Because it won't be unanimous with Bama/Arky/LSU, if that is the ranking. It'll be split up and fairly close.

when you say like "get pissy" do you mean literal? Like I'm stomping up and down my stairs mad at your comments? or are you saying it as more of an online thing? In the confeins of this forum? Cause even then I'm not pussy lol. I'm watching football, what I say to you definitely won't change the emotions of my day. It's just funny how you argue in every thread it seems and are undefeated. You think for some reason Arkansas beating LSU wouldn't drop LSU. Who's to say Ark doesnt go #1 and Bama stays #3 and LSU goes #2? Still lose lol. Still don't win the division. I don't see where you don't see this, that's all.

No I don't.
Page 11:
shel311 wrote:nick wrote:shel311 wrote:Not sure how you figure LSU would be ranked lowest of the 3, unless Arkansas beats LSU as bad as bama beat Arkansas.
same reason Texas dropped below Texas Tech late...cause they'd lose latest.
so itd go Ark/Bama/LSU
If Arkansas beats LSU by single digits, I'll paypal you $20 if those 3 teams are ranked in that order, with Arky ahead of both and LSU behind both.
$20...maybe.

That's my argument. Not what you just stated. I never said that, so no, I wouldn't still lose.
nick wrote:I don't see where you don't see this, that's all.
And i don't see how you think it's so crazy and illogical to think LSU/Bama/Arky split votes and end up fairly close in the human polls, but LSU makes up the difference over Arkansas in the computers polls. Is that really THAT crazy of a thought?

Auburn beats Alabama
All hell breaks loose.

Here is what I don't get. OkSt loses to an untangled team at home and barely drops. Stanford lost to a top 10 Oregon a week ago an almost fell out of the top 10.

It's very possible that the voters took into account what happened to the OSU athletic program that morning and factored that into the results of that game (which I am not sure they should do, but that's another debate) and therefore aren't penalizing them as much.

What if LSU beats Arky and loses to UGA? It's cut and dry if Bama and LSU win out. I think that would be the real toss up or if Bama drop the Aubarn game.
Nick, run to the store and get a pad for your bleeding vagina. Start a thread and argue with the corn dog in it and stop ruining this one.

You guys can homer alert me again, but I think LSU gets in. I think LSU can lose either game as long as it's fairly close and still get in.
Homer all you want, all of you, dammit.

At this point I agree.
Bama is the only team that can give Lsu a game. A boring one, but still a game.
Once Oregon lost and okie state went down the rematch is the only possible game I'd want to see for competition sake as Lsu destroys anyone else.
I reiterate:
Lsu by at least 10-14 over arky
Bama by 10ish over war eagle
Lsu beats uga by 17+
Lsu-Bama rematch for championship and Lsu wins this one by double digits.
The end

Pretty sure it's going to end up being LSU vs. UVA for the title. Those are clearly the 2 best teams in the nation.

I know when to get off of them (bad seasons) and when to jump back on for the cash.
This is a cash season and I plan to profit as I already have on the first Bama game
