I think that is if you get the digital copy on PS3 you can upgrade to ps4 for $10. Same with the Season Pass, if you get season pass for PS3 it carries over to PS4 for no additional charge.

Actually this is not it. From what I read today, you will have to have the ps3 disc in the ps4 to play the $10 digital download upgrade.

The process for those with a digital copy on PS3 is simpler. There's no need to redeem a code; after buying the digital PS3 game, the digital PS4 copy will be available at the discounted rate and can be played without any need for a disc.

I wish I had seen those deals earlier.

Thanks, anyway. I ended up getting one from Amazon. I figure, ACIV, Ghosts, and South Park will get me thru the year. When it's time for the PS4, I will just move the PS3 into another room and use it to watch/stream movies. I don't consider the PS4 era started until Naughty Dog or Fallout announces something .

probably, i know a few days ago i pre ordered and XBOX1 for my kids for xmas

XBOX1 I've seen around for pre-order. I haven't seen a local store with a PS4 pre-order open for over a month, probably two.

The local one here does not have any PS4s.

i understand they might have and issue here or there being the latest console. On the other hand i feel like technology has advanced quite a bit in the last 7 or 8 years since the PS3 launched and these companies will troubleshoot better and on the fly quicker.

As i have mentioned, the jump from PS3 to 4 is smaller than the one was from 2 to 3

thats why i wanted it. not too mention when the ps3 came out they were like $600 or whatever. then the price dropped. I think it will be a year or two till the price drops on this one, so i wanted it at launch

I believe Walmart re-opened pre-orders for consoles that are only guaranteed to ship and be delivered by Christmas. They had a few bundles up the other day (PS4, BF4 or Ghosts, Extra DS4) for $520. Might still be available, but no promise you get it any sooner than Christmas.
