Every week of a college football season is more entertaining then what we saw today.
Today was turrible.
While I agree, having 50+ games in college every week vs 16 in the NFL is naturally going to give you more exciting games

Michigan v Notre Dame was the only game I watched, and it was exciting for me at least

woah.
there is a zero % chance this weekends college football schedule (with all 60 games or whatever) was more exciting then the 16 games in the NFL. The NFL games were AWFUL AWFUL football in terms of sloppiness, but the games were close and exciting.
college football may have 60 games but of those there are about 10-15 that are actually between teams that are close in talent and actually worth watching. this weekend, i can't think of 1 good game outside of ND-Mich

The talent level in NCAA is just completely laughable compared to the NFL. Obviously, I know. But that is important to me. I love, love, love college ball. I'll take the NFL any day. The "worst" player on an NFL field was probably an All-Conference player in college. I mean, everyone goes gaga for "SEC speed." Well, LOL, the NFL makes them look like molasses.

which is the case for all professional sports... other then baseball where the talent level isn't nearly as different (just the consistency of the talent).

By the way, I've read a lot about the Lions "touchdown" and people are comparing it to the "Tuck Rule." This is an incorrect assumption. The Tuck Rule was created because they wanted to take referee interpretation of an ambiguous situation (what constitutes a throwing motion) out of it. The NFL absolutely defined what a throwing motion is; and they said that the arm has to come ALL THE WAY back to the set position for the "throwing motion" to be over. Ridiculous, but thank you NFL!
This "second act" shit ... completely up for grabs. What would be the second act in a touchdown? It is retarded; even the head ref couldn't explain it in 2009. If he caught that shit at the one, it would have been a touchdown.

Well, the one thing I will say about the NFL is that no other league carries 53-man rosters. If the NBA, NHL, or MLB carried 53-man rosters, I might be able to play professional sports.

However, I still wouldn't be able to sniff a professional football field. Seriously, though, yeah, about 20 of the guys on a NFL roster are there because they do ONE or TWO things well and maybe aren't the most talented as a whole, but the overall talent on one field is absolutely silly.
Whenever an NFL football game gets together, you can be reasonably assured that these are the most athletic, talented, and toughest 100+ people within 500 miles.
P.S.: Skip Bayless is blaming the lost Lions TD on Calvin Johnson. I hate him. I don't mind an idiot. I mind idiots that do it on purpose

The Jets.
They think they are so fucking cute. What is with the 16,000 audibles per play?

These games are tons better than anything I've seen in college football thus far. Monster Saturday was absolute crap.
Can't believe the O/U on this game was 36 1/2. I would take that under any day of the week if I was a betting man.

Don't know why Revis isn't lined up on Boldin every play. He's tearing Wilson/Cromartie up.

i agree....if you watched ANY hard knocks they got exposed there. their offense is bad. Maybe it will change some when santonio holmes gets back, but until then they are below average

how the fuck is this better? Neither team will let their QB even throw the ball.
I do like low-scoring games in general, but holy fuck this is worse than watching paint dry/grass grow/whatever you want to say.
Now the Ravens give the Jets a TO by throwing on 3rd and long.
This fucking sucks. Just admit the opening week of the NFL has sucked dick
