I know it's sarcasm. But you'll get more money from the US from the expanded unemployment plus the stimulus payment right?

Good point, but probably depends on how long this goes. I'm still not quite sure how the unemployment works, but I think my wife may be getting $500/week, so yea not much different than $2k/month plus the stimulus.

When the new bill passes unemployment will increase on average $600 weekly. So if you applied today or the last couple weeks add 600 to whatever you've been told based on the articles ive seen. The increase will last 4 months then it goes back to the normal unemployment payment for ur state.

One big difference is our stupid ass country, ie the Republicans of the world, tie health insurance to employment
so Nicks got the one up on us in that aspect.

Amidst this self quarantine/social distancing, Pornhub has made their premium content free!!

TIL that Pornhub had premium content, and people still pay for porn.

Not getting any hopes up of anything until the details are released and its actually approved on:

what "laid off" specifically means
income brackets
not laid off but temporarily closed
how fast?
mortgages?
student loans?

Its all just hot air until the details come out in the 57000 page document they will release.

Don't you work in the healthcare field?
Layoff is not in your future.

I dont think anyone can say that emphatically regardless of any field anyone is in at this point.

But I hope you're right :)

I've lost $2800 in contracts since this has started. 1 was a planned closing and the other 2 were not. Down to 1 small contract that wouldn't even pay for groceries. Glad I retired from the Army to help pull thru this. If I hadn't there would be some tough times in the Nicholson household.
