Tradition. I'd never do it. The opponent is your enemy.

well, according to those stats, it must have been a foul. on who?? that's just horrid. i could have almost understood a mistaken offsides call, but a foul?

That was freaking terrible. I'm so pissed right now and I'm not even that big of a soccer fan. What an AWFUL call. Bradley the coach just said nobody still knows what the call was. The United States seriously just got cheated out of a win.

Yea, a foul is even worse considering no one can find where the US foueld, meanwhile 2 Slovenian guys are raping Bradley and another dude.
Unreal.

or is this more accurate?
If England don't win, then we're good with ANY win over Algeria.
If England do win, and there's a decision in the ENG-SLV game, we're good with ANY win over Algeria.
If England win and then they draw Slovenia, then we MAY be good with a 1-goal win and we ARE good with a 2-goal win.

I don't know why I found this (pre-game) comment so funny (from another thread).
I've been to Slovenia and I love the place. It's a beautiful country that looks like a piece of Western Europe deposited in Eastern Europe. We must slaughter them.

Just showed the Goal Differences and its +1 Slovenia 0 for England and US and Algeria -1.
Looks to me like we really need a England draw and then we'll still have a tough task. I hate relying on these other teams and their game out comes. Especially after getting cheated out of a damn win. WTF!

Sounds good to me. Seemed like I heard the announcers saying we really needed England to draw vs Algeria though. I have no idea how it works so I'll take your word.

My point exactly WHY? When has USA ever, ever just went out and won their games and controlled their own destiny. Way less tressfull. I know its soccer but our defense has been shitty at best and I put that on them just watching the game instead of being the game.
BTW my new quote to my kids: "Don't watch the game, Be the Game."

USA goal differential is at 0 cause they tied both games. I think USA is ok as long as they beat Algeria.
If England wins, they have 4, Slovakia 4, USA 2, Algeria 0
If tied, Slovakia 4, USA 2, England 2, Algeria 1
If England loses, Slo 4, Algeria 3, USA 2, England 1
Just say USA beats Algeria, than USA 5 Slovakia 4, England 4 or 2, if Slo and England tie, than it will be up to who beat Algeria the worst. If England has 2 than they have to beat Slo and loser is done.
So it a nutshell, It would be best for an England/Algeria tie or an Algeria win

It's all too confusing for me to understand, lol.
But on another message board, they're saying if we beat Algeria 2-0, we're in no matter what.

basically yeah USA would need to beat Algeria by two goals to have the edge over Slovakia no matter what happens. I was actually just thinking out loud with all that gibberish
