nick wrote:u really wont. this game isnt interesting anymore. People dont talk around here. I dont like how its run from the top down and I dont wanna be a negativity on the league. Ill finish out this yr and then in the offseason they can look for a replacement.
I feel semi-responsible but not in "I did this look at me"way but previous events since I stopped posting really soured me on this league for a while and a select few individuals really annoy me.

Still enjoy the game and hope it doesn't die but maybe ending my code of silence will help considering I posted about 50% of the content with a generous estimate and can help recreate some immersion.

I think now is a bad time for a restart, too fragile. Seems like the immersion would go up but it could backfire.

And yet, you're both still here...

Ok, it's not nearly as much as Jsence, but you've done this little thing probably 3 times now.

Um.....when have I ever said I was quitting before this season? I've talked about blowing up the team, but not quitting. I AM leaving at the end of the season.

And honestly, a restart would be the only thing that would get me interested again. Because it would level the playing field, esp with so many of us knowing our mistakes from 20 seasons of playing.

What would you like to see changed?

And for the record, there are a lot of people not enjoying it as much lately.
What can we do to get things interesting for people again?

Personally, I want to do a basketball or football one, but no one (looks nicks way) will get one going. :)

My reasons I'm leaving:

1) The only way to really improve now is to either have lots of pieces to trade away, or tank for 4-5 seasons, load up on what few really good prospects are in the draft, and then hope they pan out. There's no in-between. I know, I've tried, and I am competitive, I get to the playoffs, lose, then try to sign someone to get better. And then it's repeat every season

2) The draft utterly sucks. 2029 screwed things up and I don't see it getting better

3) So few people want to trade anymore, because there aren't as many prospects available in draft. It's also not helped by such a wide discrepancy in the scouting

4) Just not as much activity anymore it feels like.

To be honest, I think the only game we could do that would be A) good enough, and B) would hold people's interest, would be Football Manager. But I don't see enough people wanting to do that.

Not sure there is much we can do JD. The draft pool issues that got screwed up a while back have depleted a lot of the talent, and though players do still grow and mature, some teams don't want to sit around and wait multiple years until they can be good.

It takes a some coordinated tanking for the bottom 15-20 teams to actually have a chance to build something, and no one wants to wait that long. Instead, we have the same 10-15 teams each year making playoffs, with the same 4 or 5 winning titles (mostly just Reign).

Those same teams don't want to trade for fear of getting fleeced, or just straight apathy, and the teams at the top don't trade much for fear of losing their place at the top if something goes south.

The NDL boards dying off certainly hasn't helped.

Mostly I think we've hit critical mass with regards to people having real life shit to do. Corey has 1.5 kids, Shel has kids, reign has 1.5 etc. People are busy, and this just isn't making the cut of priorities anymore now that there are more things on people's plates.

Just my $.02.

Yes, I know he's having another kid, inbefore someone points out obvious fact

Perfectly said. I have lost some interest, a lot of it work related because I am so much BUSIER  with my job nowadays. I leave early, get home late. But I always download the sim, make a few changes, export and I am done. Previously I would spend way to much time looking through box scores, players, stats, free agents, waiver wire and the draft pool.

No matter what though I still plan on being here. I love sim sports but something does need to change---what is it????

Probably good that you have a girl this time. No way you'd have enough time to worry about 3 dude's worth of hair game. You keep Cal on point, but no way you'd have time for another.

I am highly amused that you think having a girl will make hair time any easier.

You seen how long it takes to do a Krensta mans hair? Pony tails and bows will be cake compared to the pomade styling routine they go through
