Its about $6 a can at Lowes, some painters tape for about $4, some newspaper .75.

Worth a shot as it peels right off very easily but yea with hub caps it may be weird with the back part showing through.

Damn man. I gave my stock R/T wheels away not too long ago. If I had known I would've let you have them for the cost of shipping them.

That's something that would have been better left unsaid.

I make it a point in the new house to keep it clean for a car to fit in there. You can see the riding mower pushed to one side in the reflection and the rest is in the shed in the back yard.

I definitely need to get a shed before winter. I've considered it for a few years, but just kept stacking stuff and making it fit. The G8 is a lot longer than my Jeep, so room is too tight now. I've been parking it outside since I got it and I hate doing that. We keep my wife's car in the garage, more so for convenience for her. No way the G8 is sitting outside in Nov/Dec though.

A buddy/coworker of mine is an artist on the side and he started painting push lawnmowers with flames and shit and coolers.

Some look pretty cool.

Did the wheels today. I have chrome wheel covers on, so I was able to pop them off and just dip them while off, making it really easy.

After (sorry about the lighting in the pics making it tough to see):

I did the grille, four wheels, and nameplate on the back with two cans. Total investment: $12.

Thanks! Check out some of the dipyourcar videos on youtube, its really easy. The toughest part is either covering the brakes or removing the tire, like I said I had wheel covers on so I just popped those off and dipped them.

1. Clean wheel with soap and water. Dry
2. Remove tire, or use something to cover the brakes behind the wheel
3. Spray with plasti-dip. Cans can be found in the spray paint section of hardware stores for around $6. Use several coats, starting light (I only had about 50% coverage on my first pass) and making sure you get at it from different angles. I think I did 5 coats on the wheels
4. Replace tire, remove drape

On the front, the calipers were actually too close for me to try and get some sort of drape in behind it so I actually went ahead and took the entire wheel off. In doing so, I found out the covers were really easy to pop off and on, so I just put the tire back on and took off all the covers

Those look good but you really should've taken the tires off and painted those calipers.
j/k nice job doc.
