i play 1 lineup and play 50/50's and a couple random H2H

i spread out 100 bucks over 20 or so small games. so in reality i'm 2-0

i know im just messing around.

Locked it in. Played all 50/50s tonight. Some $1s some $2s.14 total. Never done this so not sure if a smart move but worth the $20 experiment.

i only played about 20 bucks for the action tonight as i'm not a big fan of 4 game nights.

my only thoughts are:

- Chandler Parsons is due for a breakout game, he's been really cold and had a decent game last game. if he can't back that up with a big game at home vs Philly he never will.

- i don't trust any PF's out of this bunch other than Dirk and Randolph so i felt they both needed to be in lineups. (Gasol too i guess but he's too expensive)

- i wanted to use Monta but couldn't figure out a way to get him in and already have 3 Mavs

- vice versa on Chandler, don't really want to use him but the math worked out for him with the $ i had left

- Bojan is a pure speculative play by me. on a bigger night i probably wouldn't do it but i am winging it on him tonight, he plays a lot of minutes and isn't horrible.

Good to see we had a lot of the same thought process on dirk/Zach.

Almost pulled the trigger on parsons but wanted someone more consistent but has some big upside potential

went small tonight. ended up with around 268, must have been a horrible night cause i finished top 10% of all my 50/50's and even came first in a few 40 person 50/50s

Went 14-0 in my 50/50 experiment even thought I only scores 275. Thought Randolph putting up a goose egg in the first half and the Mavericks going off would kill me.

i started from the bigs when building the lineup and i had Olynyk and Zeller in there and i attempted to go all white guy line up for shits and giggles.

i could only pull off

- coudln't find reasonable 2nd pg

- couldn't find 2nd SF
-Zeller (Marvin Williams doubtful tonight), could also go scola

- Olynyk

i'll have my real lineup later on tonight. but Kelly will be in there!

Almost went Zeller as well as he had a ridiculous ratio and may be able to add him in there to upgrade Fournier or Solomon Hill.

one thing to look at (and it may seem obvious, but worth saying in case people aren't familiar) with injuries is how much usage the replaced player takes up.

for example Marvin Williams sucks and doesn't use the ball a ton. so replacing him in the lineup isn't exactly some gold mine that Zeller fell into. but with that said, at his price, he should be able to get your value back so you can upgrade something else.

but just in general. also something to think about when a guy like MCW came back in Philly. he uses the ball a ton, so Wroten who has made guys a forture early in the year is probably going to start losing a ton of usage.

and when you start to understand usage more in depth you can understand why having multiple superstars in 'real basketball' ends up with diminishing returns. when you have 2 its amazing, 3 one guys gonna drop off, etc etc when you have 5 superstars it really doesn't make your team THAT much better. what it does is allow multiple guys to make up for an off night. and thats why guys like Lebron are so valuable cause his consistency is such that he's giving you that 1 great usage guy every night. while a guy like Melo is so hit/miss that his huge usage might actually be harming his team but he uses the ball the same every night so ultimately he's hijacking his teams chances of winning alot of the time. but in fantasy it doesn't really matter how efficient a guy, you just want the usage. which is why i like using Kobe when i get the chance. i'm rambling, but i love this stuff.

Lots of values... lots of games... those nights always made me cringe a little. While the lineups can be all over the place, because of the number of value options, you can basically guarantee that you can wiggle in the elite players that you want on your squad.
