Hired a new scout. Old scout was neutral, new one is favors tools.


Think I'm just going to keep hiring new scouts until I get one that agrees with what I want my farm system to look like

I get that but it never works out for me. I can never go over $18 a ticket without having 15% empty seats in the stadium. I don't spend money on scouting/development/IFA so that is a nonissue.

Pretty much the only way to consistently have higher ticket prices is to consistently win a lot.


At the beginning of last season, my ticket prices were in the $10 range, but by the end of the season, it was at $24. But at the start of this season it'll probably be back in the $15-17 range.

Yup, you just have to build consistent winners and things gradually go up. Can’t be bad and then have 2 good seasons and expect it to shoot up. Most guys just don’t have the patience to do it and go over budget too soon and guarantee their run will be 2-3 seasons

I'm 34 I think, somewhere in there and usually don't sell out until sometime mid season except for sporadic games here and there.

I have the worst scout ratings wise in the league but at least he tells me what I want to hear

Unless I'm looking at that wrong, OSA only has four blue rated non-reliever players in the NCAA ranks. A 72 rated 2B, a 71 rated RF, a 71 rated SS, and a 68 rated LF. If you include relievers, the top 11 players are all closers

Granted, I'm sure they'll get bumps during the season and prior to draft.

Great season for Boston not to have a draft pick!

First pitch set for 3:10 cst, but it may actually go off at 3:10am the next day with a nice, 12 hour pre-game ceremony.
