Agreed, guys tend to think they can fleece new owners. No one ever seriously offers stuff plus the new guy needs time to evaluate his talent vs the rest of the league. Unless a new owner systematically looks at 500 players in a few days it's gonna take awhile....

And if they decide to keep their team it shouldn't be a knock on them. Why the fuck would you ever hit on 20. Stand pat and steer your team correctly.

Yeah, that is the dilemma. If NY decided to sell off he would just get shit offers and make bad trades and then he gets ripped there.

I gave him one of those shit offers, he politely and correctly declined.

I don’t think anyone is being sensitive. Just presenting the other side. At the end of the day just gotta do what’s best for the org you are running. If he rips off the next 3 I don’t think anyone will say man what an awesome owner but I wouldn’t say he should have done it a different way either.

10x120 for Cisco Melendez. Its actually pretty pro player. has an opt out after 5 yrs (1 yr into FA) which if hes great he'll opt out and if not he gets 4 more yrs + another player option at a higher price.

Bringing up Kelsey Davis after yet another 60 day DL stint by one of my pitchers. Don't expect much from him, especially with that 49 movement, but he could be a decent #4 or #5 guy in the future.

Side note I’ve never seen a league where so many winning GMs bail so often.

In fairness, the last 2 being the big ones with Ted and Dub, they were probably in this NDL OOTP league for 15+ years combined.

It's not like they were around for a little while, so while maybe correct, it's skewed a bit.

I'm really struggling trying to figure out how some of these moves get made now that we don't have coaches. 5 middle relievers and each made exactly 1 appearance in 6 games. 1 setup guy made 1 appearance while my other setup guy made 3 and closer made 4. The setup guy with 3 appearances and closer with 4 pitched in games where no hold opportunity or save opportunity were present. Neither has a secondary role so I just don't get it.

I don't think it has anything to do with coaches. Bullpen logic has been atrocious forever in this game.
