Why,because he wears Wrangler's and makes stupid decisions at times??

A "man's man".

I dont think anyone was debating whether he is a "man's man" or not. :D
LOL. Exactly. Silly Pat. I have no idea what that part you quoted has anything to do with what I said.
I quote you just to bother you.

Not sure how you can say that so with so much confidence.

He easily gets inside the 35, which makes it a VERY makeable kick for a guy like Longwell.

Longwells career long is what 52 yards? They showed his playoff percentage was something like around 53%? Game going to to OT.

He also would not have easily gotten to the 35 esp if you slide, your down where you slide with a defense closing in on you.

Dude, you read posts worse than i do, lol.

1. Where did I say the field goal would be easily made?

2. I said INSIDE the 35, so your little math equation is rather pointless.

he has been money this year..and whatever his numbers are for the playoffs they are 1000X better than putting the ball in the hands of drew breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze.

3rd and 15 at NO 38, he throws incompletion thats a tough ass fg on road for the win. favre had a hurt ankle with ~10 seconds left, its a stretch to say him running would of helped much. he needed to complete a pass...

I dont know about that.

Around the 11:05 mark. That DT, highly unlike he runs down Favre from that angle.

I think it is very reasonable to believe Favre gets a yard or 2 inside the 35 and probably can just run out of bounds.

And even if he gets right to the 35, it is a makeable kick, without question, so taking that huge risk, in a situation of that magnitude, he just has to know he can't do that.

you kill me with your loose terms. Stop using makeable. Yes its "makeable" just as much as I could get with a super model who enjoyed people with good personalities. Anything in life is "makeable" by your loose standards.

factor in that it's a 50+ yard field goal in the NFC Championship away, with 70 000+ people screaming/booing at you and I'm willing to bet the % isn't on the makeable side, more like unmakeable.

The element of surprise alone would of got him 3 yards on the scramble. The guy is an iron man and you'd think he could of took a hit or ran for 3-5 yards with a damn superbowl on the line. I truly would of gained a new level of respect for him if he ran that and got more than 3 yards while taking a big hit.

just remmeber, without Favre the Vikings are a like 9-7 team. Tavaris Jackson and Sage Roselfels both SUCK.

Good quarterback but not what he was portrayed to be by ESPN or anyone. No player in the league deserved the attention he got. A lot of better QBs that played in the past 17 years.

Im sure, but you mentioned gaining respect for him if he took a big hit on that play. We're talking about a man who has played through more injuries than perhaps anyone ever, so how would that ONE play change your perception after 17 years? ESPN wants his balls but Im not gonna blame Favre for that

308 straight games. Cal Ripken played 2500 straight MLB games or something like that but there are probably a lot of better baseball players. That is a great achievement no doubt but that doesn't change my opinion. Sorry it just doesn't. The guy can play 308 more for all I care, it will still be nothing more than a great achievement cause he continues to rule himself out with dumb shit like yesterday and the 07 NFC title and hell even the 08 Jets he threw costly picks.

Records aren't everything, they are great accomplishments no doubt and I did say he was a good quarterback. Why do you think this guy keeps coming back and beating himself up? He wants to win more but its just not gonna happen.

ok i think its just dumb to say there have been a lot of better qbs in the last 17 years.. there hasn't..
