Just checked the Preseason Projections.

Hank will not be happy here.

Luis Flores was not in the top 10 for pitchers. Sorry bud, maybe he is #11

yeah, osa is actually better than my scout in ratings (not overall) but for some reason my scout and like... 2-3 others at least that ive asked see Vasquez as a mid-60s ish SP.

makes zero sense and hes not durable so I could destroy him but I am all on the hype train.

The first projections are always a bit wonky for some reason.

If my scout finds a 20/20ish international prospect and his accuracy is rated very high....then WTF are you doing signing him to our IC? :?

So it appears that we are not alone and ootp may be programmed in this way.

A guy responded to my thread with his findings and is seeing the same things we are:

And what do you know, as it turns out, scouting reports take LONGER to decay in the offseason. At least relative to spring training. I followed 11 players who my scout filed a report for on Feb 1, all had high accuracy. By the start of spring training (Feb 18) only two had regressed to average - one was in an international complex. By Feb 22, an additional 4 players had regressed to average, and by March 1, only 2 players remained high.

Now let's compare that to 11 players who my scout filed a report for on Feb 17, again all high accuracy at the time. Within 10 days there are more average acc reports than high acc reports. In 15 days all but one is down to average, and even though it takes 13 days for the last report to regress, there are no more high accuracy reports two weeks sooner than the previous group.

This scouting thing is going to drive my OCD crazy. I keep scouting to get everyone on my MLB squad at Very High, just a couple more to get done. Now if they keep regressing every 2 weeks to a month, I'm just gonna have to do it again. Guy will never find any International guys if he keeps scouting my MLB / Minors.

Could be fun!
I can back that! It would be a blast to do so
Guess it's just you and me Corey. I'll do a winter meeting next year just so we can be the two on an island by ourselves

Yeah, good luck trying to keep them all at high or very high.

That's pretty stupid to have a feature where we just have to keep clicking a button over and over again to scout a guy.

But I would just like to be able to get into any of my league files at this point, I got much bigger problems with '21, which so far has been much worse than '20.
