Re: The 24 Hour Dynasty League!!!
Holy fuck was USC stacked...90+ at basically every position
Cal came out firing thanks to the arm of Senior signal caller Beau Sweeney. Sweeney would complete his first 10 pass attempts and came extremely close to having the game of his life. A new look offensive line was able to handle the Trojan's 3 headed pass rush of Devon Kennard (99 OVR), Jurrell Casey (98 OVR), and Kevin Greene (98 OVR). This allowed Sweeney the time necessary to find Cal's multitude of receivers. On the day, five Bears receivers caught 4 balls a piece and one had 3 catches for a truly team effort. Defensively Chris Little stole the show again, totaling 10 tackles (2 for loss) and 2 interceptions. The offseason move of Little from SS to FS is surely paying dividends as he has 40 tackles and 4 interceptions in just 4 games this season. The Bears seemingly had the game in hand up 27-14 into the 4th quarter but nearly had a repeat of last week's meltdown. An inspiring drive by Trojan quarterback Matt Barkley brought USC to within a score. Shortly after Sweeney was hit on an attempted screen pass and the defense took it back 31 yards to go up 1 with little time left. Not to crush Cal fans in back to back weeks versus in state rivals, Sweeney led the troops down the field and into field goal position. Shockingly USC did not use any of their timeouts to save clock for a final attempt to tie the game after Cal would inevitably score. The Bears used this to their advantage and Senior running back Chris DeBoskie punched it in from 7 yards out with under 30 seconds left. Cal broke up all 4 of Barkley's attempts to get the ball down the field and everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief.
Let's hope the recruits were pleased with the entertaining show that was put on today on national television

Re: The 24 Hour Dynasty League!!!
Advanced to Week 7
- #19 Navy is the lone team with a bye week
- Battle for MAC supremacy takes place as 5-1 Buffalo travels to undefeated #22 Bowling Green
- Finally ranked, Michigan State will look to not slip up versus a very talented Illinois squad
- Seemingly on the right track, does Minnesota have the horses to keep up with #2 Michigan?
- Syracuse is just playing .500 ball but a win over #15 Rutgers in Piscataway can turn everything around
- Will it ever get easier for Cal? Next up is undefeated and #16 Oregon
Next advance: Saturday at 9pm EST

Re: The 24 Hour Dynasty League!!!
Another instant classic courtesy of Cal

Cal jumped out to a 21-7 lead in the 1st quarter as quarterback Beau Sweeney remained red hot. Oregon stormed back scoring three of the next four touchdowns in truly a wild affair. Things got crazier with just seconds remaining as Cal intercepted a pass in the end zone but the referees ruled forward progress at the 1 yard line after the Bears defender was thrown to the ground like the bitch he is. On the next plays the Ducks forced a safety and would return the free kick to the 50 yard line. Oregon easily marched down the field against a exhausted Bears defense and added yet another score with 11 seconds remaining. Cal's hail mary attempt was on line but went through the hands of standout wide receiver Jarrett Sparks.
37-35 at halftime
Things got hairier for the Bears in the second stanza as Derron Thomas bobbed and weaved through the defense from 33 yards out on a zone read play. Getting desperate the Bears emptied their playbook and it worked wonders as running mate Charles Satchell found a wide open Sparks on a reverse screen. Sparks cruised in from 36 yards out and ran over to his defense, imploring them to give the offense one last chance to win the game. The defense stood tall and Sweeney marched them right down the field. However a inexcusable lapse of judgment by the big QB saw the Ducks possess the ball once again.

Oregon was unable to move the ball and Cal did not fail when given a second chance. The Bears chewed up over 2 minutes of clock capped off with a 1 yard run by Satchell from the Wildcat, leaving the Ducks with under 30 seconds. Thomas completed 2 passes for 25 yards and the Ducks were back to the Cal 35 yard line. A quick incompletion left the Ducks with 2 seconds left to become legendary. Thomas would find tight end Jordan down the seam but a clutch tackle by safety Chris Little would save the day. A relieved coach Webs had this to say after the game, "It was real nerve wracking. With the way our defense struggled today I thought for sure that boy was gonna break the tackle. After that it would have been bedlam". Cal is currently sky high, but a game versus Arizona next week has trap written all over if the Bears come out flat.

Beau Sweeney: 24-29 for 379 yards and 4 touchdowns...outside of the bonehead int he was outstanding
Chris Little: 6 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 game saving tackle

Re: The 24 Hour Dynasty League!!!
MSU plays another tight game to the wire.
After a 21-13 MSU lead at halftime the game got real interesting. The third saw plenty of defense and only 3 points put on the board. Those 3 belonging to Illinois and their Kicker Charles Joyce.
Then all hell broke loose in the 4th. MSU strikes first on a 11 yard pass from Maxwell to Baker. 28-16 MSU.
On hte next drive Illinois drives the length of hte field and scores ona 4 and 1 lob to the TE in the corner.. 28-23 MSu lead.
After MSU is forced to punt, Chambers is hit on the apss attempt and MSU intercepts the ball. Zach Chambers would break a tackle and run in from 27 yards out for a 35-23 lead with 1:18 remaining.
Illinois would not quit scoring wuickly on a 50 yard pass to James Ramsey. 35-30 MSU lead.
MSU would be forced to punt. Illinois would need just 3 plays to go 89 yards and score with :30 seconds remaing to take a 36-35 lead. The 2 point attempt failed.
MSU would return the kickoff to the 31 yard line.
First pass incomplete.
next pass hit as he throws and USer cought to steal the INT from ILL.
With 12 seconds on the clock Maxwell hits Darius Dixon for 49 yards to put them at the 12 yard line with 0:05 on the clock.

A time out and a 30 yard Fg by Mike Carrington steals the game away from Illinois in Champaign.
MSU moves to 6-0 with Minny up next.

Minn 17
Michigan 3 (first home game where all the seats were filled...)
Scoring summary
1st quarter

H. Lipscomb 1yd td run 10-0 Gophers
4th quarter
D. Smith 24yd fg (2:46 to play) 10-3 Gophers

Int by Swvel with under a minute seals the game.
Key Stats
Qb M. Alipate 9/14 139yds and 1 int
RB S. Salamon (backup) filled in nice for an injuried Lipscomb (elbow out 2 weeks
) 9 carries 58yds 1 Td.
5 different recievers caught passes, on a 3rd and 3 with just under 2mins to play WR B. Allen broke a tackle, got a first down, what would have been a 3yd gain turned into a 24yd gain.
Defensively, a collective effort from all, no big plays and that was the plan, P. Sveum lead the team in tackles with 6 and a game sealing int.
Tate Forcier was 8/14 115yds and 2 ints, RB T. Jones had 12 carries for 34yds.
Key moment
Michigan gets Int down at around the 20yd line as Minn was looking to get a Fg at worst. Michigans ball, 1:13 left in the 3rd quarter. Tate leads Michigan on an 18 play drive!!!! I couldnt stop them, first down after first down. On a 3rd and 4 from the 9yd line, P. Sveum swats a pass intended for rb T. Jones, Michigan settles for a fg. Time left in the game 2:40.
It was a great game, i really dont know how i held them to just 3 points, very fast team!

you know how it goes. do your recruiting and let the sim gods decide. It sucks but its what we signed up for. It will be interesting to see how the CPU would handle this one.
