Online gaming is straight tits for insults. I've been called a cracker, N-word Jim, and every other name possible. Plus, as soon as people hear a southern accent, you get all the inbreed jokes and shit like that. Good times!

And I also completely understand how the "N" word is used completely differently at times.

ALL that being said, I agree with you, if that word is that vile and has that much hatred behind it, then everyone, not just black people, should be for completely removing that word from there vocabulary.

i agree its a pretty muddled mess b/w prejudice, racism and discrimination, but any type of comment based solely on skin color sounds racist to me

to me, racism is just a form of prejudice... you can be prejudice against race, gender, religion, economic class etc

Well, I guess what he means is that technically, being a racist means you think one race is superior to another race. So, by Trendon rooting for Gerhart and that hockey player, he's not doing it in such a way that he thinks that race is superior.

But it is pretty common nowadays to use the term racist in place of prejudice.

i never said trendon was a racist, i actually said the exact opposite and made it clear to not say that

i just said that forming any opinions on a person based solely on skin color is racist

like i also said early, imo 99% of people have racists thoughts, but not all people are racists

This is a very slippery subject. I personally live in a place where blacks have a 5:1 majority over everything else. Do I experience racism? eh, not really. I find if you respect a person, they will show the same respect that.

Are non-whites allowed to go to the games? If not, THEN I'd be offended. But makes me wonder how he views Tim Duncan who is referred to as the Big Fundamental and Steve Nash who is anything but.

I play 10 vs 10 soccer on FIFA religiously and have yet to hear anything race derogatory...have any of you heard it on anything other than a 1st/3rd person shooter?

Thats wild you haven't heard in Fifa as Soccer is a notoriously racist sport.

I heard it one time from a hillbilly white girl saying it to someone who wasn't even black (he said "im not black). I ran to find my headset to rip her but when I found it she left.

Have you ever been to the south? Racism isn't still dominant. It isn't any more dominant here than it is in the rest of the world. Yeah there are some fucking yahoos but there are no more here than anywhere else.

We were playing a Pro Club match and got matched up with some Liverpool fans; I called them "dirty Scousers" (they ARE Scousers, everyone from the Liverpool area is; it's like calling someone from the south a "hillbilly", there's nothing racist about it)....and one of them dropped the "n" bomb on me. I was stunned. People in ENGLAND were calling me the "n" word....gotta love it.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaa, im gonna say no here. I'm willing to bet on an ignorance scale, the south > northern usa/canada in terms of racism.

People in most European countries are very racist. I lived in Germany for 6 years and travelled all over and witnessed it. That's what kills me about nicks statement.
