My defense is time of possession. I think TOP is a retarded stat that means nothing ... except in this game!

6th, what ive started doing and it's been my been my best shot though still beatable, is bringing a heavy blitz on 3rd and longs.

I'll blitz 5 or 6 guys in man and try to make my opponent throw too soon or make a bad decision. Sitting back does zero good.

i thought we agreed that if you weren't a cheesy fuck you wouldn't use any strategy stuff?

I think defense is better this year, but I could be wrong.

im not sure im with you guys on the vert play unless you are talking about the one where the inside guy does the hard deep slant

the verts all str8 are pretty much stopped by man cover 2

the ones with the slant guy just have to cover the inside trip guy manually with a zone guy preferably front side safety leaving strong safety to cover the inside trips guy over the top in zone with man underneath

we all know its there and its 1st thing i look for...9/10 times guys throw it based on timing and even with my user skills i can pick it sometimes if u just strafe and time it

for sure, most of the time you know when its coming and i usually try and pick a play where i can user a guy and double that route

I can completely either one of those verts with probably 80%+ success rate even if I tell you the exact one I'm running.

And you can run and tell dat home, home, homeboy.

the success of this play is dependent on 3 things, the ratings of the qb, wrs vs dbs, and the user skills of the guy on def trying to take away the hard deep slant streak type play over the middle.

That is what makes this play a high pct. play despite it being a deep route play.

Against zone it is money, given you have time to throw. YOu will either have the guy over the middle, or the middle receiver early in the play on trips side. Or eventually the far receiver on the sideline on trips side.. At lastly the guys who can through the super lob to the backside wr on his streak.

Against man you can beat guys with really bad stick skills over the middle or guys who just have slower d players . Or if you have a good wr and qb combo you can throw the bomb to one of the outside wrs on the streak.. if your qb is good enough and can through the deep high pass that leads.. the wr will almost always at run the cb cause of the pause you get when switching d players vs the no pause an offense player has..

That is what makes this play tough to defend in most cases..

Yup, but even if it's the 4 straight down field with 2 WRs on each side of the ball, that one isn't has unstoppable, but both can be run with extreme ease.

your answer is dont switch...let the dude play and there is no pause and he will swat the ball 99% of the time

also..like i said...get the front side safety (side the inside guy is moving towards)..leave the other safety back there and he will PICK the super lob or any other pass most of the time if not just swat it

then though, like u said, it then goes to user and timing out that inside guy once he breaks from the man guy....even if you're a poor user stick guy if you learn to strafe you can nab that ball 30-40% of the time for the PICK...alot of times if you're like me you'll miss badly but once u pick one or come close, guys wont throw it so much again

and Shel stop fishing for compliments. you're approaching big mike territory...you know you have the top 3 passing game around this year if not #1, which you are #1 in my opinion...you cant use you and your ability as the example since you can complete 40 yard hooks if you wanted to at this point

lastly, like u said 6ft....its money vs zone....but thats where strategy (self strategy) and your thinking ability comes into play...when u smell it coming, dont be in zone or be ready to audible out or call a timeout to go man when u do

Ok this might work on your avg player in the ndl, who doesn't play the game much, but if your playing someone who plays somewhat regularly or is a good passer in general, they will take control of that wr and beat the cpu defender 60% of the time for the ball. So I disagree.

And I swear the point I try to make when I post things is missed most of the time. I was not saying you cant defend the play, I agree there are some things you can do to slow it down at times, just that the play is a high pct play. . So here even you agree that if a poor user guy learns to strafe that can pick it 30 to 40 % of time meaning the other 60 to 70% it is a completion .. Doesn't that make it more of a high pct play.

I m not saying the play is indefensible, but that the play in general is tough to defend no matter the coverage. Making it a play that will be effective more times then not.

1. I completely agree with 6ft.

2. It's not the super lob that is the problem really. It's the pass you throw real quick, throw it around 10 yards downfield for the Wr and catch around 10-15 yards downfield, money.

Oh, but shit, I had 17 TDs and 17 INTs last season, so I'm not the #1 passer in this game, IMO FWIW IMHO.

These threads about people who like to pass are becoming more prevalent and I dont know why.

Yes the defense sucks on AA but why punish the guys that enjoy to pass?

I have FIU and I am one of the worst teams in the game so Im not going to pound the ball 20 times a game, not even 10 because I know with my own personal experience and loving to pass the ball it gives me the best chance to win and the most fun at playing this game.

Running for 2 yards with FIU against teams is not fun for me and I use as many different passes in that playbook as possible so variety and moderation are still being accomplished.

Just funny the hate for passers lately.
