First off, holmey, incredible job.
Between the ticker and now this, just incredible.
For guys that were asking about the webcam, I just bought a C510 Logitech webcam from Radioshack on clearence for $34.99.
It is a 720p webcam.
I had it in front of my tv last week and had a few guys like Sammy and someone else (I apologize for not remembering who) take a look and they said it was smoother than nicks broadcast which is not bad at all.
The webcam plugs into my usb port and then I set it up on my camera tripod.
I would go to Justin.tv, log into my account, click on their webcam option, set my video settings to around 500 for bitrate and hit broadcast.
It really was that easy.
I will not be around till after the 1st of the year to really broadcast anything, but I definitely want the feedback so I can return the camera and upgrade it if necessary. But those who watched it said it looked fine to them.

I have a webcam I bought to Skype with mom and sis, this sounds pretty easy.
Does it involve playing NCAA???

Sorry about my current game showing as live.
I was walking through following Holmey's first post, so no game right now.
Sorry, I am at work.
But again Holmey, incredible job!

I run mine off my laptop cam...it must be pretty good...because it is smooth as shit...and the mic on the computer obviously picks up my annoying ass.

Usually I am the geek with the tech answers, but now I need your help. Let's just say I want to use my laptop cam to record - not yet broadcast - my games. What screen cap program do you guys have experience with?

My Logitech webcam came with it's own, which I have not used yet, so I cannot answer this as I don't know the name of it. Nick or sammy would probably be your best.
When you use justin.tv though, it saves the videos for you and then you need an editing program to cut them up for recaps if you choose to.
I don't have experience in this area yet either. I know nick and sammy both do.

I am hoping someone will broadcast so I can see how it looks on my iPad while I am at work.
This will be awesome to watch some games during the day.

So for iPhone/iPad users there is a free app called Twitch.
You can only watch on this app and then have to pay the 4.99 to broadcast with the JTV app, correct?

Everybody that's using twitchtv vs justintv. Are you using xsplit to broadcast? I ended up switching my account back to misc so I didn't have to use twitch. Twitch was giving me lots of problems.

u have to buy the app to WATCH videos
broadcast app is free
imo, the quality on my phone is WAY better than the webcam
but then again, my webcam was $18 at walmart

It's the reverse.
To watch is free, broadcast is to buy the app.
I don't need to buy app since I can use webcam but was making sure.

This is where Corey asks "What is this walmart you speak of? Is is some sort of drywall supply store? I have never been there."

It's what nole said, broadcaster is free.
Or it's free to watch on my Web browser.

I'm confused
To watch the videos is free on the iPad/iPhone via Twitch.
But I do not see an option to broadcast via Twitch so I'm assuming I have to buy JTV to broadcast via that app.
