what i find amazing is that SOPA is not dead. the big corps want it and they control the new media. this sopa thing will resurface again in a slicker way. big money wants it . also the u.s. gov shut down megaudownloads is another story in it's self. they padlocked the place. the guy who is handing the case is from the industry that wants sopa. 5 lawyers from the industry's that are pro sopa and now working for our gov to handle and enforce the sopa agenda!

SOPA is dead.

PIPA is not dead.

PIPA might actually be worse than SOPA. And anybody who knows anything about how Congressional bill works, knows that SOPA and PIPA would have been merged in a committee to hash out the differences before the "final" bill would come to vote. That's how these bills work.

The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) is a plurilateral agreement for the purpose of establishing international standards for intellectual property rights enforcement. The agreement aims to establish an international legal framework for targeting counterfeit goods, generic medicines and copyright infringement on the Internet, and would create a new governing body outside existing forums, such as the World Trade Organization, the World Intellectual Property Organization, or the United Nations.[1][2][3]

The agreement was signed on 1 October 2010 by Australia, Canada, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and the United States. In January 2012, the European Union and 22 of its member states signed as well, bringing the total number of signatories to 31. After ratification by 6 states, the convention will come into force.

Twitter is a private company, they don't have to abide by the same laws governing speech.

Thank You!

I just wanted to hear Nick say it himself, though I knew he wouldn't because I'm guessing he knew where I was going with my comments, referencing the above quotes.
