ill check the team histories, seems simple enoughBernie32 wrote:I wasn't around for those seasons, so I don't know about that. But Trendon did say "Why haven't I thought of this before?", so that led me to believe no.nick wrote:the only argument to this is, Wash/Seattle were once USBL teams I believe and were moved over to make the NDL league bigger. Not 100% sure on this though but I'm pretty sure thats what happened cause I remember Philly/Chi going through my players and taking them, but I dont remember losing any to Wash/Seattle when we expanded
Expansion Solution

Re: Expansion Solution
hmm, appears weve had 2 expansions thus far cause ya, the players on Seattle (started 2014) were on like NY/Toronto (first 2 i clicked) in 2010 and so.
Re: Expansion Solution
Those players already exist. Its not like they are being created. Besides, they will eventually be free agents if their teams dont resign them.Bernie32 wrote:4 USBL teams, 40 man rosters plus Trendon said they have 15 protected or something. 4 times 55 equals 220.brwnbear wrote:Where are these players comming from?Bernie32 wrote: You are bringing in 220 new players.

What about free agents in the offseason?Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Meh... 80% of free agents are our old trash that's wayyy too expensive. Good either way though.

My final take on this is, if it's way easier for Trendon, then I'm all for bringing the 4 USBL teams, no question. If Trendon doesn't really care, I say we put it to a vote, I'd personally be in favor of expansion and the expansion draft route.

Getting closer to unanimous!!!shel311 wrote:My final take on this is, if it's way easier for Trendon, then I'm all for bringing the 4 USBL teams, no question. If Trendon doesn't really care, I say we put it to a vote, I'd personally be in favor of expansion and the expansion draft route.
Re: Expansion Solution
I'd let them drop 1 or 2 players from whatever USBL team they take with no penalty. That should help them shed a couple crazy contracts and open up more FA room for them next season.

Trendon, can you get me the USBL info so I can start looking through the teams and getting familiar with everything?

Re: Expansion Solution
That's what I'm saying. I'm saying that the Ortiz's and the Harrington's of the free agent pool will be more prime for those guys since they'll have cash and needs. We don't sign them because we are lower on cash and higher on standards, but those guys could fit in nicely for the new guys, thus thinning the free agency poolshel311 wrote:What about free agents in the offseason?Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Meh... 80% of free agents are our old trash that's wayyy too expensive.
