Jesus Christ. I played that CC tournament and every single shot that wasn't a putt would go far right. I have no idea what was going on. I'd try to correct it and end up going out of bounds the other way. By the end I was just trying to putt with my driver and crazy stuff like that. Needless to say, I did not submit my score.

If its like some of the tournies in the live section, it forces you to swing a certain way. Unless your up by the green.

It's not. It is regular up and down but the expert setting which is very sensitive.

Is there a fast way to build up your guy that anyone knows of or more playing, more building is the only way?

Also, is there a way to switch the swing stick to the right one. I'm left thumb weak
You just have to play a lot. Playing harder difficulty levels build points faster. I'm pretty sure you can switch to right stick. Just go into settings.

Also using tougher settings helps.

I turned off the shot meter (which makes putting harder, takes away the swing arc) and turned off the putting beads (still shows grid and gives the L1 putt predictor, but doesn't give green speed), it gives me a 1.50x modifier on points.

I'm at level 42 or 43 already.

So yea,a little rusty

Think I hit a +30 in the tourney after I finally figured out how to actually play the tourney

Things I forgot:

Wind
Overswinging
Trees
Water

Hit some nice putts, got some xp, time to hit the driving range.

So the one round tourney is all that is open now for us, right? That whole setup for the game is a little weird.

Yes, I will set up a regular daily tournament and then a weekly one staring Monday. You can only have 1 daily and 1 weekly open at a time.

I am doing really well at putting.

And by really well, I mean I'll have a 30 foot putt with tons of break, and I'll read the break and speed perfectly, hit it 29.999999 feet, and walk up and tap it in.

I think I leave like 8 puts less than 4 inches short per round

Wow.....start out sucking, end up with a bang.

So I came out struggling early on. Hit my first drive into the rough, had the issue w my thumb (told you  can't hold both those sticks precise at once) and started rough, went bogey/double bogey/bogey on my first three holes. Worked my way back very slowly. After birdies at 7 and 9, got a long stretch of pars where I kept having long drives, great approaches for 5-10 foot puts, but put them in areas where I had a lot of break to read and read it wrong leaving tap-ins (one hole I approached to 4 feet and two putted :( ). Finally at the 15th and 16th, I got birdies to move to par.

On 17, get to the green in two, have a 47 foot putt for eagle. It's uphill, slight break left at the bottom half, slight break right at the top half. I figure, "fuck it, I'm not gonna win anyways, might as well go for broke, get it close", so I aim like 10 feet behind the hole and let it rip.

It goes in. Eagle. Damn this game needs to let us save replays. I'm so shocked that I miss the chance to hit square to watch the replay in time :o

Finished with another birdie at 18 to go -3. Had I made a few of those putts I might've had a shot. Not bad though seeing as I hadn't so much as played a Tiger game since Tiger 11.

If the analog stuff is only there if the ball is in a bad lie, I think that'll be ok, I thought we were going to have to do it on every single shot.

Yes that analog stick would really only apply in the rough on in a trap. You might get an occasional sidehill lie in the fairway but it wouldn't be too extreme. If we stick with the normal up and down shot stick, I think the analog stick makes sense to make it harder if you hit it offline, which will be infrequent. If we were to switch to the shot stick where you have to swing on an angle, I could see getting rid of the analog stick because more shots would be offline with this method.

I forget what settings I put on today's daily, but I'll continue to tinker with them each day.

Nice. Baker said he would be signing up soon too. I think we need to get to 20 members to start taking advantage of the weekly club championship and club pro Eric tournaments. After you two we will have 12.

I love the game. Nice little touch to the daily tourny today with just the grid on the putting surface. Cost me atleast 2 strokes. Just like real life, my short game around the green is nice cause I suck on my second shot. Todays funk pulling the ball left......

Thanks Downing for getting everything up and running.
