My only gripe is the no beads. For obvious slope, you can get a decent idea where to aim. The problem for me is when its very subtle. There were 5-6 holes in todays round that I missed because it looked perfectly straight, when all it needed was to be aimed at the right or left edge.

I think we should form a competition committee or something. Maybe hold a vote on each individual setting. Today's tourney was definitely no fun.

From what I am seeing from most responses, here is what I think the majority is looking for:
Swing Difficulty: Expert
Strike Meter: Sticky
Shot Shaping: Normal
Ball Spin: Off
Putt Preview: Off
Swing Meter: On
Wind Display: On
Zoom to Aim: On
Green Grid: On
Boost Pins: Off
I will make these the settings going forward and if we want to change them in the future we can do so.

i hate the expert swing. I go on the golf course and hit the ball down the middle and cant even hit the fairway in the game. I pull the stick straight back and go straight forward and I end up with some fucked up swing and the ball goes 30 yards into the rough. I don't have a problem reading the greens but with the oversensitive swing meter I can't play the game.

Doesn't matter to me. You guys let me know what you would like to use.

What is your golfer's accuracy rating?
If it's below 40, that's probably the reason why; it's very unforgiving when the rating is that low. Ditto w some of the lesser clubs. Maybe we can lower the setting until everyone has gotten their golfers up to a certain level.

That's what it is. If you ported your golfer over from 13 then your golfers are good enough to play with expert swing. Go with the settings you want. I bailed last year for the same reason. I have other friends with the game I can play with.

I was having the same issue until I got my accuracy rating up. Not sure what it is now (45?), but it's certainly more fair for me now

how do you export your golfer from 13? I have 13 with my created golfer but don't know where to go to export him.

When you create a golfer it asks you if you want to import Xp. However, you need to still have your tw13 profile saved on your ps3.

84? Is most everyone else that high already too? My golfer was on level 8 when I played the daily tournament last night, now it think I made it up to 12.
I liked the settings last night, not to easy, not to difficult. But, my guy's level isn't very high, so he's not that good. I don't care if there is beads or no beads when putting, but putting isnt easy IRL...I'm fine either w/or w/out beads, I think I might have 3-putted maybe 2 greens last night, made a 20+ footer, made some 10-15ft birdie putts...pretty "realistic" I guess, if thats what we're shooting for here (realistic) with tweaking the settings.

We just have to be careful with how realistic (=hard) we get. It killed us last season, I'd rather see everyone shoot -10 or better and actually have a chance to win a tourney than only you and downing win every tourney. Just my opinion of course.

I still have my created golfer from TW13, settings and game progress. But no profile, should I fire up TW13 and save the profile so I can export my golfer?

Here fixed this for you

....I shot +2 or +3 last night, not winning anytime soon.

I like the settings posted above
If we want to make it harder, mess with the environment and weather a little more.
Keep the settings medium complexity and adjust other things.

I doubt this is a setting, but it can go here any way:
So in previous years, let's say I was off the green about 20 yards out, I use some wedge that has like 60 or 90 yard potential. So, there's a strategy involved to try and single at 1/3 or quarter speed to get the distance right.
So, my 1st couple of rounds on the new game, I'm doing this and every shot is coming up way short, half the time not even reaching the green. So I've learned that now I put the marker wherever I want the ball to go, and give it a full swing and even if I'm 20 yards away, it'll only go roughly 20 yards. Anyone know why that is?
I like the strategy part of getting the swing timing down, but it seems like that is gone.
