I'm guessing he was caught messin around with mickelson's wife in the locker room, Phil walked in and a fight ensued.
But really, why in the world would Tiger be DQ'ed???
He violated rule 25.3.6 V. 4 of section 10.3.4.6.1 halfway down the page.

correct but the 2 stroke pen was because of the drop.
the discussion of being Dq'd was because he signed an incorrect scorecard. He was not Dq'd because it was decided that he was not aware of the infraction at the time he signed it. Which bears the arguement if it was not brought to his attention at that moment of the infraction should it even be a penalty to begin with.?

The real reason he was not DQ'd was because he is Tiger. If this was almost anyone else, it would be a different ruling. Gotta get those ratings today and tomorrow.

Uhh, they originally said he was Ok, then gave him the penalty after listening to his post round press conference.
Thats basically the opposite of what you're saying lol.

No, the rule he broke calls for a DQ. But, there is another rule that says it is evaluated on an individual basis and the committee can enforce penalty strokes in place of a DQ.

So the best stream I have to today is a British stream. Listening to Scottish announcers for golf is awesome

Also the lack Tiger coverage is pretty cool...

i don't get what the debate would be? if he did something wrong, DQ him. if he didn't, why would this even be brought up?
based on every tournament i played growing up, the player would have been DQ'd. We should call it the Tiger Rule

shel311 wrote:Wow, Rick Reilly just got through with some incoherent babbling lol.
He said the rule was fair and no one in the press room after Tiger's round questioned it, but said he still felt Tiger should withdraw himself.
Then he mentioned the new rule about signing an unknown scorecard and 1 minute later backtracked on saying Tiger should withdraw since the new rule is in place.
It was magical television.
what in the world has Rick Reilly done to be an expert in anything? Other than sign a ridiculous contract because ESPN is fucking stupid

I'm watching the live feed at work on Masters.com. Nice setup they got. Very clear picture and no glitching.

He basically lost 4 strokes cause he hit the flag.
I know the whole game of inches thing, but one of those inches doesn't usually cost you 4 strokes.
