That doesn't make any sense.
did you not read my post about how all real life minor league parks are diff than their pro parks? Why does it matter if AAA numbers are inflated? :s ..
Already was covered.

You don't know why it was even voted on so this makes sense.

I voted yes, but after thinking about it, I agree with nick.
Not all ball parks are created equal, nor should they be.

I don't know if people thought this through. I admittedly did not.

The problem with "not all ballparks" are created equal is... My way resolves the issue and gives Corey the minimum amount of work, even though it's a lot of work. Letting everyone pick what they want is how we arrived in a place where 18 of 22 people wanted this change.

But again, these things should to be clarified before the vote if the topic in the OP are going to continue to be changed. From Corey's post, he's basically saying it's whatever you want, which insinuates the vote is nullified.

Nonetheless, the vote is clear, and we should give the people what they want. :)

I agree that if people want to change their minor league parks sizes, factors, etc. they should be able to.

We let them make their ML ones whatever they want so why would we not let them make their minor league ones whatever they want?

1.the OP literally answers that exact question

2. That's fine that you agree, but the vote says otherwise, and the league does not agree.

Mr. Commissioner stated that he is not going to force guys to make changes, so it will clearly be, if they want to, they will be allowed to.
The way it should be, IMO.

I addressed that as well. It doesn't change the fact that the owners agreed with my proposal. If you guys want to make crappy dimensions that ruin the Minors, you now apparently continue to have that right to do so, and the GMs of the league don't approve . :)

There's basically no point to having Winter Meeting topics if this is the case. We should instead PM Corey with an idea, and if he says yes, we do it. If no, we don't.

Where in real life do all the minor league parks match their ML team's park?
And for the record, your proposal never state to make it mandatory.

1. What? Where did I say it did in real life?

2. Now we're just getting ridiculous, if I have to actually type it out.

You may select 1 option

Yes - All the parks in an organization should have the same dimensions as its major league park

I find it funny that the commissioner doesn't want to make it mandatory, but you throw a fit about that.

shel311 wrote:The reason for this poll is our minor leagues, particularly AAA, are completely out of whack due to field dimensions. Teams averaged nearly 6 runs per game. Just for example, 1 dude put up a slash of .311/.353/.460/.813, which in theory is pretty solid. HIs OPS+ was 96, meaning those numbers are below average in AAA. An example on the pitching end, 1 dude has an ERA of 5.01 but an ERA+ of 108.

It's really not good to try and get these almost ML ready pitchers up to AAA, but with the amount of homers being hit, it makes it tough to gauge their progress.

To make it easy on Corey(even though my proposal is still a lot of work for him), I propose that all stadiums in all minor league parks have dimensions that match our major league park. Easy peasy.

I just read this. So our aaa is like real life aaa.

Jesus this league is like baby's first ootp now. Next we'll have a vote that all pitchers have the same pitches

I just want to say, I have been in this league for over 20 seasons and I have never used my AAA pitchers stats to know when he is ready for the ML's.
I use his attributes.
When they get to a certain point, they are then ok to put in the ML's.
The stats really have no bearing on anything in my opinion at the minor league levels.

the stats absolutely have a bearing on how fast or slow a guy reaches his potential. stats are part of the formula for their overall rating for crying out loud

Point is, why didn't the commissioner say this is a no go when he posted on the first page?

It's amazing how little you've comprehended of each of my posts, almost like you're trying to not understand anything I said.
