FYI Rob wants to trade.

He's $200mil+ in the hole and he will never ever get out of it if he keeps winning 20 games.

At this point I don't know what to do for him and leaving it up to him on who and what he wants to trade. If he trades his prospects for 35 year olds so be it.

Gotta spend money to make money, i think if he could get around the 60-65 win mark with a payroll well under 90ish mil he would start to see the benefits. Anything better than 1700 fans a game would surely help

I don't recall it being an issue with teams with negative money trading. The issue was being like 100% over that years budget.

There are a ton of trade blocks, Rob can trade, just seems like an odd announcement coming from not Rob. I'm confused.

i think we put an embargo on Rob trading cause he was 300 in the hole. Guess he took it a little too literal.

Looking at last season's overview, just revenues and expenses, it looks like Montreal came out $30mil in the green, right? Took in around $71 mil with player/staff expenses of $41mil

Also, it's pretty well documented that Rob's owner gives him a quarter of a million dollars every offseason.

Assuming Rob's owner gives him another big chunk, capping it at $50mil, doesn't Rob stand to cut his debt by roughly $80mil from 2048 to 2049? And then do it again 2 more seasons and he's out of debt.

What am I missing?

He will never get out of it if he doesn't draw more than 1500 a game and get to 60-70 wins.

Rob knows he fucked up by releasing all those guys and he is still paying for it today. At the same time he has to make moves and try to get better somehow unless the league is cool with a Ran/Houston like bail out.

In general I am in favor of bailouts b/c rob sucking means rob not posting which sucks.

It was like 118 mil budget, 275 mil payroll. A legitimate concern for the league. We've put minor measures in to prevent it moving forward with the commish somewhat monitoring it.

For the sake of the boards and the lack of Robs presence, I wouldn't be opposed to a get out of jail free card. Only condition for me would be he brings back some of the Rob board fire

how about we all get a chunk of money, call it Cnasty's championship salary relief fund. The more free agents we can all sign the more competitive the league. And im sort of serious......
