Re: Draft Lottery
Also for the realism crew it’s not very realistic
Re: Draft Lottery
I also don’t get the point of a draft lottery in baseball.
Re: Draft Lottery
What do we do in this league that resembles realistic?
We vote something out every season

Re: Draft Lottery
We should boot whoever finishes last every season. That would really get interest up
Re: Draft Lottery
I initially put no but am swayed to yes if the lottery was live posted and there was a weighted draw.

Re: Draft Lottery
Eh, disagree.
Obviously when I get an injury, that is not fun. But overall, having the entire league actually have more than 1 injury a season for some teams is most certainly more fun IMO

Re: Draft Lottery
agree, I don't think the bottom x amount of teams should be weighted the same. last should have more balls than second to last and second to last should have more balls than third to last. If it's not this way, I will vote no (may be one of just a couple that vote no). I get the peak in interest for those teams but each team should be weighted on how they finish and shouldn't be lumped in with 3 other teams because that's how the NBA does it

Re: Draft Lottery
The reason the NBA does it that way is so there is not a race to the bottom. All of the 4 worst teams are equally deserving and could use the top pick. It just helps eliminate the extreme race to the bottom. Now I know someone will say now they have the same but for the 4th/5th worse but you can play that game forever.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 6:20 pmagree, I don't think the bottom x amount of teams should be weighted the same. last should have more balls than second to last and second to last should have more balls than third to last. Re: Draft Lottery
I get what you are saying, but I stand by my stance. If it goes thru with 2/3 of the vote then so be it.wdoupis wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 7:45 pmThe reason the NBA does it that way is so there is not a race to the bottom. Re: Draft Lottery
The draft lottery will be fun for 1 total season. I can’t wait til the year there’s a stud prospect and the #10 team wins. That’ll be the last year of the draft lottery

I swear, some benevolent rich person could go around and send people here free money and you all would still complain.
