to be honest, i dont even know where the "thug" image you're talking about comes from.

I dont feel like Roy Hibbert was trying to act like a thug. I think these guys are constantly banging on one another and eventually tempers flare....we've all played in games like that.

However, the NBA does love that it has an urban image. the popularity of the NBA to non sport playing kids under 18 years old cant be explained. its through the roof.
