The dude they benched had a decent season last year, why would they not bring him in?

Take it for what its worth, but Texas allowing only 3 completions all day vs an awful North Texas team is still somewhat impressive. Offense still looks like poop with Ash at the helm in the passing game but the running game looks solid. Again, this was against UNT. BYU will be a bigger test next week and should be a better barometer.

That said 3 completions vs 4 INTs is still impressive.

Heck of a first Saturday. Nearly saw a few big upsets. I think we all believe the Noles and Bama will improve, but I am also interested to see who WVU and OSU really are, both OSUs.

Ridiculous when you come to think how bad they were for so long.

Briles has had the perfect plan. Go and find every absurdly athletic person you can find and put them in an offense where absurdly fast and athletic people can run free while a big-armed QB leads the way.

And be in a conference where defense is optional.

Unless you play Bama in a bowl game. Buh dum bump.

In all seriousness, probably my second favorite offense to watch behind Oregon. I would even say they are tied with Auburn for entertainment value.

 good catch

Alright Canes. Don't embarrass yourself tonight. Petrino will be looking to put up 60 on his return against a conference opponent with all eyes on the game on Labor Day Night.

Make me proud!

If Miami is smart, they ram it down UofL's throat. The UofL defense is not very deep, and their line isn't very good against the run. Their offense ran for over 300 yds against them in their main fall scrimmage and it was ugly at times.

Plus it keeps Petrino's offense off the field.

Youngin has gotten knocked around and looks a little deer in the head lights in the eyes.

We haven't come close to touching their QB once

I was expecting duke to get 25-30 carries but doesn't look like the plan at this point. Get too far behind the run game really goes away.

Lot of UofL fans were afraid that Miami would win the toss and ram it down their throats, rinse, repeat. They wanted to win the toss, take the ball, score, hold Miami to 3/out, score again, and take away Duke Johnson.

Miami's gotta get him the ball early and often.
