Better for all of us to just knock a year off. Signing a young guy to be a FA at 29 is the dumbest thing you can do. His demand for an extension will be 25 ish when he becomes a FA. Better to wait and arb him until 25 so that you can sign him to a 8-10 year deal and have him his entire prime at maybe 16 per.

I will have to just take a year off as OOTP doesn't handle "resetting" arb very well.

If I remove the extension, it goes to $480k and then a free agent at the end of the season which we all know isn't correct.

A little bit different than a FA due to the 480k and arb. Unless Niddler knows of another way to reset it back to what it was.
