i have to watch the wife as she isnt used to the power and ws going like 85 and it didnt even feel like it.
its a very heavy, long car but man it drives so smooth and you feel just how sturdy this thing is.
i had an opportunity for a V8 but in dad mode getting the 8 speed v6 and better gas mileage won out

Hard days work but pretty happy about the finished product.
I need to buy some black lug nuts though
Aren't completely dry and will give it a day or so before driving.
Looks gray in pics up close but black in the right light for the camera.

Those red tailights really stick out now, you should probably do something about that next

Yeah, I had a 2004, 40th anniversary edition, Mustang GT, with a V8 engine that only had 250 HP stock.
Looked just like this, except I did not have the stupid stripe down the side that said Mustang on it:
Wish I still had my baby.

Yeah like people don't already know what kind of car it is And the people that don't know don't give a shit.

Not sure what I can do there besides smoke them a little but not sure if that's legal here in Florida.
I do worry about it making the tint look even darker and being a cop magnet

Yeah, that is exactly how I feel about it. People that are into cars, will already know what it is and the others could care less.

I like those SN95's. I'd like to have an 03 or 04 terminator.

Quick search on the Charger shows the intake choice isn't a big deal. Guys are getting similar performance from K&N, AirRaid and AFE2. For exhaust, don't waste you money with muffler swap. Save it and go full cat back system. It'll be a bit a little more expensive, but that's where guys are getting the real performance jump. The tune looks like it can be done yourself, but you're going to need the tuner kit. The majority seem to be using a Diablo system. Read up on this to get an understanding on how it works. If you're not computer savvy, you'll want to take it to a performance specialist to have them do it. Not something you want to screw up.
I know a good amount about mine, but I just reached out to a friend that gave me a good recommendation that I've contacted at CincySpeed. I'd rather not take any unnecessary risks.
Something like this would be perfect, is this what you are talking about above? Again, car tuning newbie here.

It looked like it, yes. You can see they replaced the pipes all the way up. I didn't see exactly where. Again though, on your engine, it's not worth doing this. I can't imagine there is enough of a gain there. New mufflers could give it a better sound, but don't expect anything like your hear in that clip.

Got ya.
Ill get to the point when I get all this stuff done and will figure out what is needed and details.
Lots of 2013 V6 videos out there and they sound awesome.
This is the first car I have really wanted to do some things to that I've owned. Maybe I will keep it longer than 2 years.

Oracle maybe you know from living in Florida and being the NDL subject matter expert, but can I paint the side markers or is that illegal?

You can tint the side markers. You can also tint your tail lights but they must be visible from 1000 ft. It is lllegal to tint your headlights though.
I have my tail lights tinted and I was rear ended at a traffic signal. The FHP saw that my lights were visible from 1000 ft and I was not ticketed. The tint is pretty dark on my lights also.

That is a cat-back system in that video. Meaning from just behind the catalytic converters to the back of the car. You could also get an axle-back system which are less expensive and basically just replace the stock mufflers. Some axle-backs along with a resonator delete will give you more growl but no hp increase. That being said, a v6 will never sound like that hemi in the video. The two extra cylinders make a huge difference in the tone of an exhaust.
With a cat back system you will get about a 10 hp increase along with an increase in torque between 10-15 lbs. It isn't something that you will actually feel when you floor it. If you do a CAI and cat-back system at the same time you will be able to tell when you step on it. Usually you can't really tell unless you add about 20 hp. Get a tuner for your car also and load the 93 octane race tune and you will definitely be able to tell the difference.

Good info, thanks man.
So you just went somewhere and asked for the lights to be tinted or do you mean like a night shade product and you sprayed on?
I think Whit said and he was right, the red just pops off the car now. It will more since I am going to dip the DODGE on the lights and the CHARGER on the left back side there.
I want to do the grille as well from what you said to take the front off and Ive seen videos and your right, it doesnt look to hard.
I dont really care about HP increases as much as I care about any increase in gas mileage and if I can get it to growl for cheap. 90% of the time the little one will be with me and its not like Im going to the track or street racing.

I drive a bad-ass 2010 Venza. Continue talking, but be a little jealous.
AWD, 268 HP V6, 6 speed automatic with wicked cool sport shifting available. Full nav system with LCD and Sirius XM. Front seat moon roof, back seat sun roof. Automatic high beams. 20 inch rims. Enough rear seat leg room for my 6-8 buddy, and enough space in the back for four sets of golf clubs and overnight bags for a golf road trip. There is nothing the car doesn't have that I would want in a car.
And I think that's the best thing with a car: everyone can basically find out that suits them perfectly, it's just a matter of affording it.

I got my tail lights and side markers spray tinted. You can find vinyl tint that you put on yourself and it is pretty easy but I think it is best to get it professionally done.

if you want to tint your own tails, use nightshade and some clear coat. I did with mine and used about 3 coats of the nightshade and some clear coat and they came out pretty good.

Corey reminded me to post an update:
A little over two months later, couldnt be happier. Zero chipping/scratching/peeling, theyve held up fantastically and have been easy to clean. Im curious to see how theyll handle the harsh Michigan winter, but I really havent seen any reason to think they wouldnt hold up
