I think what the NCAA fears actually happened... Not enough teams qualified for a bowl game with at least a 6-6 record. Or it is just another flaw in the game. The only other way they could get in was if they won their conf championship game, but that doesn't seem likely.

Advanced to Bowl week 2

Heading up to Stillwater today..Not to play an NDL game, but for work.

I think we will be heading back after noon and Ill be around after @3pm to get our game in if you are avialabe that early. Let me know PDR.

I'll be home at 4pm est...I think that's 3pm cnt...so this should work out.

Rose Bowl...

unbelievable see-saw battle...First quarter Illinois pretty much eats up the whole clock on a great TD drive finishing with a J. Green 2 yd run. Louisville tries to respond, but settles for a FG. However, the turnovers start for UL and V. Anderson scores back to back TD runs to give the Cards the lead at halftime 17-7.
Opening drive UL is stopped for another FG, extends the lead 20-7. The Illini finally get the passing game going and get down the field to shorten the lead on an R. Smith 4yd run. 20-14.
After stopping UL, the Illini took their momentum in stride as they scored on another 8 yard run by J. Green to finally take the lead 21-20!
On the ensuing kickoff, J. Caldwell proved why he won Returner of the Year as he takes it 93 yards to paydirt. UL sneaks a 2pt conversion over the top of the defense to a wide open Anderson to take the lead 28-21.
Of course, with 4:00 left, this wouldn't be the end.
The Illini score a minute later to tie the game on a wildcat formation run by J. Ford flying in from 43 yards out. 28-28.
UL gets the ball and uses up as much clock as possible to set up a 27 yard FG to take the lead 31-28. The Illini, now out of timeouts try to move down the field quickly, and with 3 seconds left hurry to the line to spike the ball on the UL 36 yardline, instead the QB hands off to the HB for a dive and the clock expires! the Cards win 31-28 in an ESPN Instant Classic!

#3 Louisville finishes the season 13-0 with a Rose Bowl Victory!

#17 Baylor wins 28-9 over #18 Cal.

Got my ass kicked by a A B+ A+ 5-7 tennessee team. Not real sure how they had that bad of a record. 3 fumbles in the first qtr. 2 lost. Got it to 28-21 in the third, but could not stop anything. Broken tackles were plentiful for the tennessee offense and it was not a fun game.

I plan to stay in the MAC though and try to grow this team.

Alright guys, everyone's through bowl games..I'll advance us when I get home from work. I'll advance to the end of the season where I'll then post New teams available. (to get a recap from this past season, check page 11 in this thread).

Next step is the off-season (Players Leaving) I THINK that EA fixed the bug that caused you not to be able to talk guys into staying. Before I advance us to that step, I need to know if you plan on staying in your coaching position. Here's how things will work this year:

1. Changing teams (depending on your success)

*You may change teams to any other team with the same-star prestige as your school any season (or drop to a lower prestige team)

*If you completed both of the following:
-Winning record (above .500)
-Won your conference or Won a bowl game

...then you may change teams to a +1 star program. (so if you are a 3-star, you can move up to a 4-star if you accomplished the previous requirements).

The following coaches may change to a 5-star program (if they choose):
pounddarock - #2 Louisville 13-0 (Big East Champs/Rose Bowl Champs)
UCWeiser - #16 Baylor 10-3 (Holiday Bowl Champs)

The following coaches my change to a 4-star program (if they choose):
ndloutlaw - #21 UAB 13-1 (CUSA Champs/Liberty Bowl Champs)
texasfan4444 - #12 Illinois 10-3 (Big 10 Champs)

The following coaches my change to a 3-star program (if they choose):
Buckeye76 - Mid Tenn State 9-4 (Emerald Bowl Champs)
GT25Ump - UTEP 7-6 (New Orleans Bowl Champs)

The following coaches remain in their same prestige status: they may choose from same-star program (if they choose):

champdizzle - Minnesota 4-8
(1-star)
cnotes008 - Kent State 7-7
magnum20 - Eastern Michigan 4-8
sixft - Duke 3-8

Coach outlaw has accepted California's offer and will be the new head coach of the golden bears.

Coach PDR has been honored by the offer to return the Irish to glory and dominance. Continuing the goal of the Underdogs, he plans on bringing respect back to the lowly Independents by leading Notre Dame to the National Title (even if it takes a few seasons).

Baylor was very convincing in their contract talks and coach UCWeiser has decided to become the Brian Kelly of the Big 12.

stayin at kent state. winning the MAC and getting ranked in the top 25 this season. great recruiting class so far and the future looks bright.

Horriable recruiting class overall but the 3 I do have look solid.. and I cant bail after just one season no matter how tempting it is to bolt ... Cauce man the ACC is tough when you have huge lack of speed.

But I ll be sticking around at Duke.

im moving to a 3 star. Only prob is im at work til 7am.......unless someone has the list of three stars. no biggie if not i ll do it first thing in the morning.

I'll look after my Reg season matchup with doc.

Looks like im headed to Big 12 country. Coach TFAn is signing a one year deal with the Missouri Tigers. Hopefully, i will be seeying Weiser in the Championship.
