Nebraska barely escapes Manhattan, KS after a tough Rivalry Game with the Mildkitties. Nebraska would wait until only :22 remained on the clock in the 4th quarter to take their first lead of the ball game. Kansas State threw a pick deep downfield and Paul Harris (whom already had 1 int in the books) returned it 72 yards for the score as time expired just to rub salt in the wounds of the hated Wpussies.

"The Huskers need to do some serious work to get things going offensively early in the game or else we are gonna be in big trouble as we get deeper into conference play. Some of the defense we are soon to face are not going to let us back in the game if we fall behind." --Coach Donkey

Advanced to Week 8

Alright fellas, let's get everyone back on track now that we are back in action. Here's this week's rundown.

+ Where can you find most of the South's best HS talent this week? Alabama hosts not only rival Mississippi State in week 10, but also a bukou of ESPNU 150 players as well. Most experts rightfully expect this one to be a blowout. Leave it to Kirk Herbstreit to go with the upset, as he has the Bulldogs going into Bryant-Denny and coming out victorious

+ When one thinks of National Game of the Week, Buffalo is probably the last thing to enter your mind. But thanks to a loyal and talented head coach, the one loss Bulls are nationally ranked and looking to add a victory over a top 5 team to their resume. It won't come easy, as Buffalo must travel to Death Valley versus not only a talented Tigers team but also an opportune one (+10 turnover differential).

+ Despite having 3 losses overall, Michigan State is sitting in pretty good position at 3-1 in the Big Ten. This week they welcome 19th ranked and rival Indiana to town as they look to continue their run towards a conference title. The Spartans will rely on their top 10 passing attack and attempt to keep the turnovers in check.

+ This is certainly not the direction the Minnesota Gophers planned on going. An anemic offense has their work cut out for them, trying to get things sorted out versus the Buckeyes of Ohio State. If the Gophers hope to keep this one close, running back Bobby Covington will need to have a breakout game.

+ The battle for the Victory Bell is always a spirited affair, but this year Nebraska seems to have advantages in every aspect of the game. Lincoln will be rocking in this one as McBride looks to give fans a show worth remembering.

+ Getting shutout 37-0 last week, Syracuse will try anything to get that taste out of their mouth. A home game versus San Diego State could be just what the doctor ordered as Sam Smith looks to go crazy versus an undermanned Aztecs team.

Players of the Week
HB - Neil Tate - Cal - NCAA - Week 9
HB - Neil Tate - Cal - PAC 10 - Week 2, 8, 9
HB - Marvin Butler - MAC - Week 5, 8
OLB - John Hampton - SEC - Week 8
HB - Jeremy Lewis - Alabama - NCAA - Week 4, 7
HB - Jeremy Lewis - Alabama - SEC - Week 2, 4, 5, 6, 7
CB - Paul Harris - Nebraska - Big 12 - Week 7
OLB - Alex Williams - Buffalo - MAC - Week 4, 6
QB - Troy Thomas - Big 10 - Week 5
SS - Matt Jackson - Big 12 - Week 4
HB - Joe Walker - Big East - Week 3

Advanced to Week 11

+ A 31 point 2nd quarter propelled the Huskers to a Victory Bell win, and a week later expect much of the same. Nebraska travels to College Station and has to be drooling when he sees the 108th ranked defense live. While the Aggies may have a lot of depth, anytime you lose an All American Center and #2 WR you are in trouble. Huskers by 17.

+ Geaux Bulls! A week after going into Death Valley and knocking off then #5 LSU, Buffalo fans are crying foul. The Bulls moved only to #13, while the 2 loss Tigers sit at #11. The only thing Buffalo can control is the games they play so they will need to be impressive in their final 3 games to secure a BCS bowl bid.

+ Likely Alabama's toughest regular season challenge comes this week as they go on the road to face rival LSU. After losing to Buffalo a week ago, the Tigers should come out with a chip on their shoulder. It will all come down to whether or not someone will finally be able to slow Heisman hopeful Jeremy Lewis. Look for the Tigers passing attack led by James Bradley and Freddie Dykes to keep this one close.

+ Michigan State will have to rally the troops to keep their Big 10 title hopes in tact as they travel to Purdue. The Spartans lost in a gut wrenching game versus Indiana, so one must wonder how much they'll have left for this game. In recent weeks the Michigan State passing game has shown signs of life, but the turnovers are costing the ball coach wins. Spartans find a way, winning by 10 points of less.

+ As predicted, Syracuse would shake out of their funk in a big way versus San Diego State. The Cuse hope to build on last weeks performance by jumping on struggling South Florida early. Gaining momentum in this game will be huge for the Orange as they hope to play spoilers in the coming weeks of Big East play.

+ Another week, another loss for the Minnesota. Six straight weeks where the Gophers offense could muster up only 10 points or fewer. Look for that streak to continue versus the very sound Indiana Hoosiers

Players of the Week
HB - Jeremy Lewis - Alabama - NCAA - Week 4, 7, 10
HB - Devin Copeland - Nebraska - Big 12 - Week 10

Dubsy....can you put me on auto pilot. I will be out of commssion starting Saturday the 5th through the 13th. I will have my ps3 with me during that time, but I will be in Athens +7 or 8 hours from CST and between work and having my wife on me on that trip, i may not have time to jump on.

Only way to put on autopilot this year seems to be if you play another user coach from what I've seen. What sucks is that before I dropped Buckeye I put you on autopilot just in case you were on business, but then took you off. Not sure what you have you're CPU assistance set to but only way to make sure you still have a chance with recruits would be I guess logging on to check that part under either Recruiting or Team Management-->Sim Strategy. Don't know why EA changed it. Enjoy the extra time with the wife

I am just getting bum fucked in recruiting right now. Lose the #7 and #8 TEs to Nebraska (kindly go fuck yourself :) ) and OU after having soft commits from them. #1 OLB, #1 SS, and #2 SS (take note from #7 TE) all decide to bail as well, among others. This usually wouldn't be too bad but seeing as I cut basically my entire Freshmen class trying to get my team to an A overall, we have a bit of an issue out here in Cal
