Chris Johnson @masnCJ
Bryce Harper: "Manny freakin hit a homer, walked it off and somebody drilled him. It’s pretty tired...I’ll probably get drilled tomorrow"

I love Harper.
Cubs can clinch as early as tomorrow. Can't wait for this post season, hopefully it is longer than one game for me.

Papelbon, what a bum. Didn't he pitch for the Red Sox in the Ortiz/Manny era? But he all of a sudden has an issue with Bryce Harper not hustling down the line?
But Harper taking exception to Papelbon throwing at Macahdo just a week earlier, I'm sure that had nothing to do with it.
if I'm the Nats, i'm doing everything I can to make sure that dude never gets back in a nats uniform.

Is he signed for next season? I know he's suspended for the last 7 games of this season.

He's under contract for next year.
Was a vesting option year that, I think, was vested by his trade to Washington.
$11 mil. No idea if they're on the hook for all of it though.

I am being incredibly biased but if Arrieta has one more awesome outing like the rest of them since the break, he should win the Cy Young.

Yes. Look at Arrieta's numbers since the break, they are unreal.

i just looked at all 3 numbers, i don't think there is a wrong answer but i'd probably give it to Kershaw just slightly over Arrieta.

The Reds have started 59 straight games with a rookie SP. That seems not very believable.

It's not really a good thing.
No superstars evolving, but they aren't horrible. DeSclafani is probably a 10yr kind of starter that goes unnoticed and Iglesias could be as good as a #2, if he continues to improve. Both guys are 25 though. It's not like they are 22-23yr old phenoms. They've protected their younger guys... except for Lorenzen that they kind of blew up.
