Cool, they're all scum.
Ruining people's livelihoods and businesses they've owned for 30 years and giving them no clue what they're going to do going forward, there's no need to downplay that in any way, it takes complete scum of the Earth to do that.
Also, were you joking when you claimed it was only a "couple of buildings" that were destroyed or burned? It was literally the most destructive protest in American history in terms of property damage.
A lot of the destruction was windows being broken, looting, etc. There wasn't a single building that even came close to being set on fire here in Louisville. The only fires, in fact, were random things set on fire in the middle of a street a handful of times (like a trash can or a shirt).
And again, property can be rebuilt. Insurance covers losses. Nobody was trying to burn down buildings with people inside. THAT would have been comparable to what happened last Wednesday.
This shows your ignorance. As a small business owner my insurance agent told me that riots aren't covered under a normal policy. It's covered under some type of terrorism policy that 99.9% of small businesses don't carry. But let's downplay it because it fits your social justice narrative. They are criminals and should be locked up for a long time

And I don't remember anyone being locked in the capital building and fires being intentionally set....which actually happened when the left was rioting not downplaying what happened last Wednesday, as they all should be locked up for a long time as well

Let's make this simple:
Anybody who tried to loot, rob, burn down buildings, etc should be prosecuted. Simple enough. It was a limited number, who took away from the valid concerns of other protestors, but they were assholes and they deserve prison time.
Now, let's see if you can admit, without caveats, without "both sides"ing the situation, that what happened last Wednesday was an affront to our very Constitution and democracy, that it wasn't "overblown" by the media as some claimed, and that those who stoked the fires (looking at you Hawley, Boebert, etc) should be held just as responsible as those who stormed the building.

To make it some...
What happened Wednesday was not a threat to our constitution or our republic. Do you really think a couple hundred people, and I'm sure not all were violent in the capital building, could cause the country to fail. What they did was absolutely wrong, everyone here has not refuted that, and they should be prosecuted. I just with the left had the same fevor to prosecute their own instead of bailing them out.

It was a limited number
Why do you keep saying this?
Again, it was the most destruction ever caused, it was the literal opposite of a limited number, the number was higher than any other riot ever in terms of the damage done, so why do you keep downplaying the number and ignoring the extensive damage?

You can't pull this when you continually downplay the" limited number" of rioters and destruction caused over the summer.

This is typical of the radical left thought process and their need to have the only righteous voice during any debate.
Jason has absolutely lost it with the downplaying the smer and completely over-playing the capital riots as the next Boston Tea Party level of insurrection.

"Water is wet, but sometimes it dries, so then it's not wet, but most water is always wet."
"Now, let's see if you can admit, without caveats, that my dramatically typed and biased viewpoint is right!"
I'd disagree, but you know, not trying to be a racist, anti-Semite or Nazi again today. The struggle is real.

There are court documents showing that many of the folks in this mob were planning to kidnap and assassinate elected leaders.
You couldn't even admit that point, and you made excuses for the mob. You answered my question. There's no discussion to be had if you cannot even admit that we saw an attempted coup from member of that crowd.

Let's all Agee that George won't admit that, and you won't admit the widespread and extensive property damage the likes of which we've never seen before and call it a "limited amount" of damage.
The sooner you can both recognize your biases and concede that, the quicker we can move on to the next thing you 2 will be super biased about in this political thread.

I honestly have not followed the news since mid December, so I have no clue regarding assassination attempts. I'm still not sure what point I can't admit. I'm sure that Wednesday I said the book should be thrown at them for everyone going into the capital building. Has anyone been charged with attempted murder? That would put some vilidity to your assassination attempt theory. Once again, I haven't watched the news for quite some time.
Ever since Trump's antics after the election it has turned me off of watching the news with the biased reporting from both sides. CNN says there were no illegal ballots casts, but refuse to give any creedance to what the Republicans were arguing the whole time, changing of the voting rules without going thru the legislative branch. This is another topic to discuss at another time
