I need to talk to some lower to middle of the road team fans and see how they mentally enjoy their football teams on gameday Saturdays when your team is like this.

Maybe get with some Purdue, Washington State, Rutgers fans and ask how to prepare for Saturdays with no expectations. Seems pretty stress free.
Get on that LSU bandwagon!!! The Cokerization never came with Les Miles, it's not too late!!!

I have fully supported Golden as I like what he preaches and stuck around when he didnt have to but he hasnt surrounded himself with any good coaches and his game management skills still make me scratch my head at times.

I give Jimbo a bunch of shit but when I watch FSU and what they have put together from a coaching standpoint it makes me realize how far we have fallen and been Cokerized with the lack of anyone wanting to come to Miami anymore.

I've heard that if Michigan underachieves this season Hoke is gone and they'll be throwing a Saban-like contract at Miles. I'd be really interested to see what he would do in a state and region that isn't loaded with talent. I have a feeling if he was at Michigan he wouldn't do any better than Hoke and some of his more questionable decisions wouldn't be overlooked so easily.

I was doing a lot of "wtf" giggles last night. Tempering expectations have been hard to do when I grew up with what I did and reality is setting in that we are the Indiana of the ACC. No offense of course. :)

Actually IU's offense is pretty good. Probably better than Miami's.

That would be pretty scary for me. I think the average LSU fan would think it's great, but the average LSU fan is also dumb.

For all of Miles's faults, and there is a long list, all he does is win. Most wins of any SEC coach since he took over LSU. If you hire a new coach, you're going into the unknown. Maybe you get a dud. Maybe you get a great coach, and in 2 years, he's off to the NFL and you're starting over again. Maybe we get Saban back...maybe...MAYBE?

Miles is just stockpiling top 3 class every year, and he's doing pretty darn well on the field as well, so I don't think it would be as easy as some think to repeat the success he's had over the past 8 or 9 seasons.

It's amazing how much of college coaching success is about recruiting. Guys like Miles who are average strategists and coaches are top 5 coaches mainly because of their ability to sell their school. I think James Franklin is the same way. He's a great recruiter and is going to have Penn State loaded in a couple years. But he doesn't really impress me as a game coach. And Saban is just the total package.

IU is actually improving mainly because Wilson is recruiting and winning battles with other mid tier BCS programs for guys. He's shown that he makes some really dumb decisions in game but because he has more talent he's seen as an up and coming coach and IU is an improving program.

Miles does an excellent job recruiting but he also develops tht talent very well. It's amazing guys in CFB who get these five star guys and they get no better. Miles coaches them up very well.

If it's not the NFL, I just don't know where he could go and be better off.

That whole ordeal was just bad luck for LSU

The Wisconsin QB making his 1st start ever was something like 8 of 24 for 50 yards and 2 INTs. I was wondering why they didn't go to the backup, who was the starter last season and was decent...

never woulda guessed it was cause that dude has the yips
