Because compared to what I actually wanted, it pales in comparison.

I need to buy some black lug nuts though
Aren't completely dry and will give it a day or so before driving.

Looks gray in pics up close but black in the right light for the camera.

Was doing fine until my sister curbed it a little when I was in New York and she used the car while house sitting. :x

Not a huge spot but big enough to kill my OCD. I just took it all off.

I am in talks with Spydie for some black, powder coated 20 inch rims that they have on the Blacktop line of Dodges so holding off on redoing them again.

Mine have survived the Michigan winter without any issues at all, they still look flawless. Even the grill, which catches a fair amount of bugs/debris still looks great for me

Anyone else get the feeling that Elon Musk is going to take over/run the world? That dude has some big ideas and aspirations, I love it

The Hyperloop will be the launching pad for his takeover/world dominance!

Funny story real quick... I've got a close friend that picked up a Tesla S a few months back. He's kind of doing it as an image/advertising gimmick for his tech business, because it lets him get a lot of local publicity due to the rarity and he tries to use it as an 'in' when discussing stuff with potential customers.

In later April/early May, a group is heading out to Vegas for one of the many conventions that he travels to. He and another friend are driving the Tesla (from Dayton), while everyone else flies. I've heard the basic details on the trip. It's a 4 day drive that's going to require them to go as far north as Minnesota to get there. :-)

Cool in concept, but I think I'll wait to take that drive until the path is a little straighter.

I read an article a few weeks ago about a guy driving coast to coast in one, but after looking at the map of charging stations it doesn't seem like the most efficient way to do it. Once the infrastructure catches up it will be interesting to see how much it takes off

I could see the midwest/plains really struggling with filling in the locations.

1 of the things my friend did was had them install the charger station at his office. He has a space sectioned off for anyone to stop in and charge.

Those are what's on mine. Grab those lugs if you get them it looks much better.

I put it over my gas tank cover for shits and hahas and it worked just fine. I actually liked the way it looked so I kept it, been on since last summer without issues. Peels off very cleanly too (at least it did in the warmer weather when I was doing some experimenting, havent messed with it once the weather got cold)

There are a few guys around here that have "dipped" their whole car/truck. Some look pretty bad ass but some look like shit.

Check out Dip Your Car on YouTube.

100s of videos and different techniques and info.

Guy is a pro and actually runs a business off of dipping cars in Miami.

Good deal. I'm just wanting to cover the door hinges on the Jeep. White with the hinges off set in black I think would look pretty sweet.

Thanks for the info guys.

Gave it a shot and covered the door hinges with the plasti dip. Looked great, IMO, from a distance. Get up on top of it though and it looked pretty rough. I've removed it for now and am thinking of either removing the hinges completely from the door and then painting or just ordering some that are already powder coated and black.
