Yet another cool feature Ive noticed with the app: I dont know if this is a result of an update or if it needs to learn your distances, but I just noticed it yesterday for the first time. Next to the distance to the hole, or when you pull up the map and look at the layup markers, there is a note as to which club to use. I noticed it on the last hole last night, a par 5. I pulled up the map to see how far away the 100 yd marker was for my 2nd shot, and next to the distance it said "soft 8", i moved a few yards closer and it changed to "9i"...very cool.

How you liking the tags Dave? You take yours out yet Reign?

I haven't had a chance yet. We've had rain/storms every day since 6/12, except for Tue... but I just hit the range and volleyball that night. The 10 days has at least a 50% chance of rain/storms everyday, going forward. I'm hoping that clears up and I can get out sometime next weekend.

Man, I really need to work on putting. I knew it was bad, but it's now really the only thing holding me back from some really solid scores. I hit awesome today, but ended up 10 over (9 holes) with 6 3-putts. The greens were super fast and I was blowing by the hole all day, ugh. Usually I do well with quicker greens but not today obviously. Anyone know some good putting drills? Spending more time on the practice green to get a better feel for the pace is probably a good start

played Audubon course here in new orleans for the first time. real nice course with a lot of par 3s. I was probably getting like 75% of my shots up in the air, chips were on the greens sometimes. putting wasn't good. everything was a 2 or 3 putt but I shot roughly a 125 (buddy scored it a 111 but I had a few mulligans and drops). Pretty happy with my round.

As the saying goes, I'll take a bad day at the course over a good day at the office every time!

Tabloid rumor floating around that Vonn broke up with Tiger because he was having a separate relationship with Amanda Dufner. Yeah... the Amanda Dufner that made everyone wonder WTF Jason Dufner did to get with that.

In ESPN Streak for the Cash Style:

"How many balls will Daniel Culp hit in the water today on the par 3 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass"
1 or less - 13.2%
More than 1 - 86.8?%

Any of the Florida (or southern georgia) guys:

If you want to play Sawgrass this Friday, let me know ASAP. I have a tee time and can fit 3 other people if you want to play. It's usually $340, but it will only be $160.

Course right down the road here has an exact replica of the 17th island green, pretty awesome hole to play
